Title: My turn to brag! Post by Jeannie on Jan 15th, 2009 at 10:13am
My daughter, Morgan brought home her TerraNova test scores yesterday. This is a test that compares her level of knowledge to other students in the nation. She scored above average in all categories which were math, reading, language, science, and social studies. In reading and science in particular, she scored higher than 97 and 98 percent of the children in the nation that took the test! I am so proud of her!

I have 4, a 10yr girl, 3yr twins boy/girl , and a 6mnth baby girl. Do you find hard explaining to your little one what your going through? |

Hi Lucy,
I have two children, Joe is 16 and Morgan is 10. I have had CH since I was ten myself so they really have grown up with my HAs. I hide during hits so they don't really get to see me at my worst. They just know that I have a HA and that I will be okay. They are both very good about seeing if I need anything and are quick to tell me that they are sorry I am "feeling bad." They both suffer from migraines so the sort of understand. Your kids will likely amaze you. Just tell them that right now you are hurting but you will be alright. It was really hard to care for them while getting hit when they were babies. Somehow, we got through it though. Now they are great supporters! Jeannie |

Congratulations!
It seems all is not lost.......she's a throwback to the 60s when things like science and reading were thought of as good things to know. Proud of her. Charlie |

You don't have to ask twice! Morgan is ten. She is in the fourth grade. She LOVES everything. She is one of those kids that finds the good in everyone and everything. She plays basketball, soccer, and loves dance. She was born with kidney problems and has spent time in and out of the hospital. I think that this has shaped her attitude. The last time she was in the hospital she never cried once. Not through all the sticks and pokes and such. Then she realized that she would miss her father / daughter Girl Scout night and the tears came. Then second hardest part about that stay, was leaving a friend she had made when she was able to go home and the little girl was not. Morgan wants to be a doctor when she grows up. I have a son too! He is 16 and terrific as well! He plans to be a Marine. I am a lucky Mom to have been blessed with such wonderful children! Jeannie |
