Between cycles I bought a can of guarana pills, which contains 100 pills and each of them has 800mgs of guarana.

Because energy drinks help me a lot and I have tried taurine in the past, I thought that I'd give this guarana supplement a go this time around.

New cycle is here and I'm planning to begin the trial soon.
But before I do: has anyone else tried guarana in the past? If so, what was the dose and the outcome?

According to the can, I can take 2-4 pills/day.

Hi Sanna,

From everything I've seen, the active principle in guarana is just caffeine, so it might have some value as an abortive.  It probably wouldn't be as fast as an energy drink, though.  Hope you'll post your experience with it.

I had some guarana soft drinks when I was in Brazil, but that's been over 20 years ago, before I had CH.  They were OK, but nothing to write home about!

Have you tried the kudzu/magnesium/skullcap/St. John's Wort/melatonin mix that I've posted about?

I actually checked the can more closely and apparently each pill contains also 10mgs of caffeine. It's tiny amount, but it must play some role because it's included.

I have been doing my share of research about your trial and at this point, I have been unable to find all the ingredients from here. I am very curious about trying, though. I do use magnesium daily, I begun doing that sometime back in 2003 when I read about it right here. :)

When I will begun my guarana trial, I will post the outcome right here. :)
