Title: I'm a sore loser Post by kevmd on Jan 18th, 2009 at 9:32pm
Cardinals still suck. I guess the world series wasn't enough for me. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah.
The whole world saw the pass interference expert the ref. And 8 beers are giving me major shadows!!! then after the game my wife looks at my newly found gut and says, " you need to start going to the gyme again" I just quit smoking and eating everything in site (8 beers, 3 hot dogs, french fries, potato chips, 10 wings, 3 chicken nuggets all during the game) Of course I'm putting on weight. What a shitty day, my birds lose and my wife says I'm getting fat |

You reckon that's bad, Kev? I just lost $5.00 playing solitaire and my favourite out-house was washed out to sea.
That pub had better open soon! |

I'm a sore loser too. my team went 11-5 and didn't even have a chance to let the refs screw them out of a chance at the Super Bowl.

Fram, Come on now. Don't compare the Patriots (who have had their chance multiple times) to the pain of being an Eagles fan!!!!! One disappointing season after years of success does not compare to being an amazing team and never, EVER winning a superbowl!!!! And having chances and missing it every time! AHHHH!!!!
Kev, It's been misery to the max here today. Couldn't believe when they made the big comeback, but the joy was short-lived. Within about a minute after that touchdown, the reality that there was a lot of time left sunk in and suddenly it was more painful that they had made the big comeback and given us hope, only to dash it away! But we can't blame it entirely on the missed call, although that certainly didn't help! And heck, if we had gotten that call, maybe we would have scored a TD and then the whole character of the game would have changed! Unfortunately, though, the Birds just weren't showing their stuff today with the exception of that brief period. We had plenty of opportunities and we just kept tossing them away! It's one thing if the other team is that good, but we didn't take advantage of the chances that were given to us, which totally sucks. Gonna be a long few months until spring training. :-/ Hugz, Carrie P.S. Congrats on quitting smoking!! Tell your wife to lay off a bit about the weight and just appreciate what you are doing!!! As the daughter of a heavy smoker who has tried to quit dozens of times and is still smoking, I'm supporting you big time, no matter what you have to do to keep it up!!!! |

Sorry about Da Iggles loss today, Kev. Sure are gonna be lots of sad faces in Philly tonight.
One good thing about the loss......I won't have to listen to that irritating song and chant until next season. [smiley=sayyes.gif] |

Carrie, I am also a Red Sox fan who went many years knowing that torment. Plus, didn't Philly just win a World title THIS past year? Anyway. I do feel your pain but it still sucks to watch brady go down and then not even get a chance when both teams in the NFC Champ had worse records. anyway, I am a sore loser (as I said) but I do feel YOUR pain too. |

Don't worry Kev, as us Philly fans say
"there is always next year". I couldn't even eat or drink during a game like that. I was too focused and very pissed in the 1st half. I can only root on the Cards in the Superbowl. They are new team in the bowl and I always root for underdogs, plus they're really not a hated teams or dirty team. Very impressive offense to hoot. Great job keeping off the butts though. You'll put on weight as I did, but eventually you'll get over the urge. It's really an oral fixation. If you get hungry, chew gum. Best of luck!!! Chad |

Screw all the technical fecal material. I don't care what anyone says....there's not supposed to be football teams from places like Arizona. :-/

We are torn here in STL. Most people here LOVE Kurt and are soooo happy for him. We HATE Bill Bidwell . I'll support Kurt though. I'd love to see him win another Super Bowl.

I put $100 on the Cardinals. I'm now $400 up through the playoffs. I think I'll hang onto it because next weeks game is a little rough at 7 points. :-/
Other than drinking, smoking and gambling I have no vices! 8-) Jimmers |
