Title: 29 hours and counting
Post by arcticspirals on Jan 24th, 2009 at 8:05am
After many catch ups of old posts I tried the taurine, and it worked. I have been free for  29 hours and counting. This includes my tempting of the beastie, chocolate, cola and msg. Granted I am not sleeping, but that isn't unusual.
I am trying to find a new local doctor since I moved my family. Really hard, they think I am drug seeking....good god. I work for a hospital for crying out! And when I go into urgent care I ask for anti inflammatories not drugs, but all's well.
I would like to thank all those that post their remedies. No matter how far fetched they seem. It makes a difference. It gives hope! I do not have a prescription for o2 but I seek it, I have however found comfort in reading many, many posts, of suffers. I know I am not alone. thank you. :)

Best of luck in your search for a new MD.
With all the knowledge you have picked up on the wonderful site you will probably end up educating him or her. :)

Do you have a diagnosis of Ch from a Neuro/Heache Specialist??

If so, that and some education should show you aren't a drug seeker.  If not, you probably need your new doc to refer you to a Nuero.

Go in armed with some education, there are links in other threads and make sure you leave with a script for O2 (15 lpm MINIMUM and non-rebreather mask!!!!!!!).

Good luck and may 29 hours turn into 290 then 2900 then 29000 then 290000 then 2900000...........

What I've done for years is carry a list of drugs in my wallet in a different manner. I printed out on a small piece of paper in a bold font, a list of all the drugs, doses, allergies, and anything else relevant. I use some clear packing tape and carefully tape this on an old business card. It's tough and is easy get in and out of your wallet too.

With something like this, it's at least one way of letting people know about your drugs. In my case, the combination fits and explains my A-fib treatment. I'd think that drugs and doses listed for you might indicate that they are for CH because of the combination.......at least someone might recognize it.

Just an idea.
