Title: Occipital nerve damage? Post by UnderTheRadar on Jan 25th, 2009 at 9:48pm
Has anybody come across info on whether all of this trigeminal/occipital nerve-screwing-aroundwithness, or any other aspect of a CH cycle, does any long or short-term damage to any o' them brain-bits in there?
Like, maybe some kind of sensitizing, or nerve damage, or tissue damage, etc. that we have to heal up from after the actual cycle is over (or ongoing for the chronic ch'ers)? I hadn't thought about it before, but it might explain why I'm ultra-sensitive to migraines lately. :-? |

I've never noticed anything, or read anything like that. Now that you mention it though, since my clusters started becoming really bad and fairly regular (since I was 20) my "normal" discreet migraines (with the aura and the nausea) have seemed to lessen in frequency and intensity. But it could just be that the CH has recalibrated my pain-meter ;-)

I'm not on anything right now except the ADD meds and occasional dramamine for the nausea; nothing seemed to work as an abortive, and I'm waiting to see if I can get with DARS to get help seeing a neurologist to get a handle on this.
I haven't had more than shadows for the past few days, but I've had a funny numbish tingling on one spot on my chin all day! :D |
