Title: My family's competition Post by Chris Morrow on Jan 26th, 2009 at 10:07am
Our competition started back in 2005...anytime my wife myself or my daughter gets ill or injured...the competition begins.
2 days prior to my marriage, I injured myself at work, I tore tendons, ligaments and cartiledge in my wrist, and 2 months later had my first wrist surgery. 2 days before my surgery, my pregnat wife falls and breaks her wrist. 5 months later, I am having my second surgery on my wrist.....So, my wife goes into pre-term labor and delivers my daughter at 4lbs 7oz. 6 months later, I have the flu, which turns into pnemonia and have a high fever for 6 weeks, so my daughter get ill and has a surgery. Now, this bring me to yesterday.....4 CH Satuday night, the last one O2 has no effect on, my daughter wakes up, extremely ill (stomach virus), after not being able to hold down a sip of water for 5 hours.....off to the ER. While in the ER, my pregnant wife begins having problems, she is losing vision and feeling dizzy. We tell the Doctor, they suspect pre-eclampsia, do labs, send her for an MRI, and hook her up to some machines. The beast got jealous of all the attention, so he ramped right up. I go out to the car and get my mask and hook up to the O2 in the ER. The Doctor came in and was very confused. I told her I have CH. She didn't even bother checking me into the hospital as well. We left the hospital after 14 hours. My daughter was feeling better, and my wife was medicated. Well.....today, I have the stromach virus, and have learned my new trigger, HUNGER! My new family motto is: "If it wasn't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any luck at all!" |

Update: 102 fever, stomach virus, kidney infection, daytime CH attacks (haven't had one of these in a decade), and 2 hours of work left. The only abortive I have at work is energy drinks.....no good with kidney infection!
