My wife Dianne handles the distribution of the finances.  Every payday, I walk into the house with my unopened envelope placed in my open hands, head looking down, and say,"Here's the money babe". She responds with a look that could kill. I laugh every time.

I wouldn't even know if she has a secret divorce account. I trust her without question. I don't buy lottery tickets because I've already won.
Sometimes I feel like I'm already in Heaven and she is in it with me.

She does the taxes too.

There's something to be said for online banking - I rarely actually see bills, since it automatically pays them. (go ahead, smack away....)

I pay almost everything online, too, but not automatically.  I just tell my bank who to pay and they do.

I had to write a check to the DMV today and I almost forgot how . . . ;D

I get no fun to be around when the bills arrive. I hate those surprise Visa bills with 22 dollars on it when you had to use it because you were out of cash at the grocery store. Always forget them. Really steams me.

Pat is the financial wizard in our home.

I earn the money and she spends the money.

She's just better at her job than I am at mine.

(Not really - and she knows it. But it's a funny damned joke. If I had to pay somebody to do everything she does, I'd have to moonlight cuz I don't make enough to do that - hence the term "teamwork.")

Nope.  Does not bother me a bit.   [smiley=tongue2.gif]

There is an occasional 'What the fock is this charge?!' when looking over the cc bill.  My wife usually says 'It is one of yours.', to which I reply 'Oh.  Hmmm.   Well thats alright then.'.

I don't feel like throwing up on bill day. I do feel like I'm losing one of my family jewels though.

thats why my wife does it now.  Also, it gives her a better understanding that we are not millionaires.  But I still need to leave the room when she is writing out those checks

I don't. Well, not anymore, at least.

I think happy thoughts and feel grateful because I have that money on my bank account in the first place and then think of the people who will benefit of the money next - maybe it will help others to put food on the table and pay some of their bills.

I know it may sound strange and I used to dread paying bills but changed my attitude. Works for me. :)
