I am so psyched that racing season has started.  All the TVs in the house will be tuned to SPEED and FOX all weekend.

Local dirt tracks will be opening soon, too.  It's like Christmas!!! :D

Will be interesting to see how Logano does this year.  Jr. gave him a nice little bump during the last practice. ;)

Still miss seeing #3 but I am sure he's watching from above....or below (he was one ornery fella) .

Well, with Joe Gibbs (the car owner) he has a great boss so the rest is up to his driving and crew.  He is a sweet kid with a down to earth attitude.  I like him.

He is young and somewhat new to the sport but I think he will do well.

I just checked Hamlin's website and he is giving away seats to each race during the 2009 season.  Cool!!

Cool to see Kirk Shelmerdine and James Hylton again.

Just caught the tail end of practice and thought I heard that Hylton didn't make it to practice.  Did anyone hear what happened?  Engine problems?  I'd love to see Hylton make it into the 500.

The the double yellow lines at Daytona.....looks to me that some of the drivers may be taking advantage of them by forcing the trucks to go below the lines when they are trying to pass on the left.  Sneaky little turds.   >:(

Yup, Kev but these guys (and a few gals) have a lot more skill and do it at speeds close to 190 mph.

Still think Kyle Busch should have been nailed for trying to swat Terry Cook on the last lap.  This kid is gonna really hurt someone someday is he isn't stifled or put in time out for a while.  What a weenie. >:(

Not only did he nail the wall hard once, but thanks to a throttle hung up he nailed it twice!

Was cool to see Tony hold off Kyle to win the race.  Poor guy had a rough weekend wrecking two cars in practice.  I hope winning today mad the bummer of a morning a little easier to handle.

Good for Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I felt bad for Ryan and Tony after practice this morning..can only imagine how they felt.  I think it costs $18,000 to tech a car, let alone how much the damages rack up.  It costs lots of money to go fast  :P
