 WOW Jimi sorry you feel that way I don't see any disrespect toward DJ here,  this is DJ's house and we all know it but this is a family right and a member is missing.   Just because he is locked does that mean we are supposed to act like he doesn't exist.

Not at all Phil. I just talked to Jonny via email about an hour ago. He told me that he had not put Sean up to posting for him and I believed him and Sean and I apologized to them both because I don't think either would lie to me.

However this is between DJ and Jonny and they will work it out. It just seems disrespectful to me for some to keep insinuating that it is not right for DJ banning Jonny.

I hope Jonny DOES come back and that he follows the rules. If not, you always have the phone and email. :)

I just wanted to add that I honestly thought Lip was Jonny.  I know it was stupid, but i didnt know it was Sean (did sean used to post here under a different name???).

Anyway, I must admit that all the posts about Jonny are getting tiresome.  I miss the guy and can't wait for his return but this gets rehashed twice a day for no reason.  Jonny WILL be back.

 Like I said this is DJ's house and in no way am I saying he is doing anything wrong Jonny broke the rules and will take his punishment.  This was a thread to support Jonny because he can still see this and I am sure he is missing this place,  so give him some love and just because you show love to Jonny doesn't mean you don't love DJ too.

I am not insinuating that DJ did anything wrong. I can see and understand both sides. On one hand, DJ made a decision to clean the place up so he made rules and he needed to reinforce those rules. I totally understand that and I am all for it, having been at the receiving end of nasty flamming wars in the past. On the other hand, I also know Jonny for who he is and I know what is really in his heart. I dont believe Jonny ever meant to disrespect DJ in any way.

Honestly, this comment rubbed me the wrong way.  I may be wrong, but are you really telling a moderator not to read threads?  Also, who said he wasn't a "mule supporter"?

Look, this isn't about taking sides, it is simple.  You can love Jonny and agree with the lock.  you can support the mule and think enough is enough with the "free the mule" threads.

I can't wait for Jonny to be back.  I hope this wont happen again. I miss the heck out of him.

I am sorry it rubbed you the wrong way Eric, but I needed to clarify what I meant. I was not telling anyone to do anything, and most certainly was not suggesting that a Moderator not read threads. I was simply expressing my opinion on what you posted earlier, and not about Jimi.

Honestly, two things in this thread made me feel uneasy.

Firstly you said it was tiresome reading all these posts about Jonny and expressing a wish that we dont talk about the matter anymore. Although I now see that there had been a lot of discussion about this matter in the Alumni Board ( I tried to post bail for Jonny but was given Alumni status instead ), there really have been only 2 short threads about it in the Main Board. People like me who for one reason or another can not be here every day, may not have the opportunity to express our opinion when the topic was still current. Should we forbid ourselves from saying what we feel we need to say just because regular others have already talked about it ?

The second thing was how Jimi jumped to the conclusion that Lip was Jonny or Jonny somehow coerced him into posting on his behalf to show disrespect to DJ and Steph. I found this coming from a Moderator a little disappointing. I understand that it is very hard being a Moderator as you have to make judgement and sometimes judgement can be wrong despite all care taken. I know Jimi has apologised and I think he is a great man. However, I hope that Moderators take the time to check things out before publically posting something like that in the Main Board. In my opinion, thats similar to calling someone a name, in an indirect way.

I may need to state that I have not been able to talk to Jonny at all, either on the phone or via emails and he has had no say about what I have done or posted here. Everything was done out of care and concern for a great friend and I would do the same for any of my other great friends here should the situation arises. I have taken good care to not do it in a disrespectful manner to anyone, especially DJ and Steph, but if anyone thinks I am out of line please tell me, thank you.

TBH, DJ doesn't have to give an explanation to any of us for any action he has taken.  IF anyone had any questions as to the whys and whatfors, I'm sure that a pm to one of the mods or DJ or Steph would have provided an explanation.  For that matter, a simple question as to why he was banned, would have elicited any number of responses from those here who knew about it from the very beginning.

To put it in a nutshell, it was very simple, jonny broke a rule and he knew that when he broke it, he would get in trouble and be locked out of the forum.  'nuff said.

As I've said many times before if you don't like the new atmosphere here, you know where the door is, leave, start your own new forum if you think you have the patience and fortitude to deal with bullshit (been there, done that, shut my last forum down because I got tired of the crap).
