My neuro gave me topamax and an anti-inflam and my cycle has gone crazy with the intensity of the headaches going to 10s 2-3 times a day. The o2 has quit working almost altogether and in the last 24 hours i couldnt take it any more and have had 4 imitrex jabs. going thru another ache now fuck, what do I do now a aaaaaaaaagh >:( >:(

Dear Pollywog:

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time right now. You didn't mention which anti-inflamitory you're on, or how much topamax. Sometimes a Prenisone taper will give you a break until the new drugs have a chance to work.

Perhaps there are other preventatives that haven't been explored yet.

Sorry that you're getting hit more. Sucks, I know.

One thing about Topomax is that it's a drug that you have to start and stop slowly. Doctors make you taper off when quitting the drug. I took it for seizures and when I started, we gradually increased the dosage over a week or so. The same when I was weaned off the thing.

Maybe this is useful information?
