Okay, I am an 02 dummy.  I have not used it before and plan to get a script for it at my upcoming appt with the Ryan HA clinic here in St. Louis.  Will the script get me the proper mask that I need or would it be better to purchase this one?  Also, I hear lots of people referring to the "Clustermask".  Is this the same thing?

Hey can you stickie this at least for a short while so it doesn't get lost?  I've heard a lot of people say these masks are so much more comfortable - I'm glad you added it for the same reason Jax said.

This is very similar to the "clustermask" (designed around the idea), and many people are having good results witht this.  Your script will probably just be for the O2, I would suggest getting one of these masks to try out.

Hopefully the script will specify a non-rebreather mask.  THAT is what you need!  BUT, the non-rebreather mask that you would get is no where near as good as the one that Deej now has in his store!  It is the difference of night and day!

The Clustermasx^TM was put together by a fellow sufferer in the UK, Ben.  He did an awesome job of it, and it was well needed!  Ben ran into problems, and had to stop selling them.  Life Gas now assembles the mask that Deej has on his site.  It is at least as good as Ben's mask.  In some ways it is better than Ben's.

You will get much better results using the O2PTIMASK^TM than you will get with the mask that should be supplied to you.  I strongly recommend buying an O2PTIMASK^TM.

Don't be afraid to ask more questions, if you have them, about the oxygen.  We WANT to see you succeed with this method!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting your order filled.  This is EXACTLY the reason we worked out getting them on the CH.com store.  Canx the second one through them and order through the store.  I'll get one out to you tomorrow!   ;)

We've only got three kits left on hand so you better hurry!  Not exactly sure when our re-supply shipment will be here.

.nevermind, I already went into my order horror with Steph.  She's got the details.

If we need more, we'll order through CH.com instead.

I was gifted with one of these masks at LouCon and all I can say is: It has made a HUGE difference in aborting attacks! I'm getting the full benefit of the o2 without having most of it seep out of a non-rebreather bag.

Even when I used it at only 15 lpm, it still aborted alot quicker than I'd expect, so I'm glad to see these in the store in the event I should need a spare.

Make sure you also have a regulator that will enable him to hyperventilate. It needs to go up to 25 liters per minute, minimum. Less than that does not support hyperventilation.

I know these are more.  I am in EMS so I understand how they work. Just need to make sure I get one that goes that high.  But I am excited for him to try it....if he will.  I think that once everything is in place to do it, he might try it!
