Just when you think you've got em figured out!!!

My sixteen year old son, Joe went to the funeral of a friend's mom today. A few minutes ago he sent me a text.... It said, " I luv u." That was it.

It touched my heart and brought me to tears.

Aww Jeannie. They do have ways of suprising you. Remember this day. It will prevent you from killing them when they do something completely stupid in the future. :)

It was not a good teenager weekend at my house the past couple days!!!!!

See? We really are good kids some times. We just don't always like to show it. :P Something like a funeral can really make us think. It's one of the things that does get through our thick heads. Now when he asks for that thing he's been bugging for for the past week, remember that text and smile and say you love him. :) Just my side of the fence.

Thanks Felicia! It's good to see it from your side too. I know you guys are good kids. The mistakes that teens make are what makes them into the adults that hopefully know better.

You can be sure that I'll hug him every chance he gives me! And don't worry.. he gets his way now and then!

Teens are always full of surprises. Some are even wonderful events.... ;)

Sweet story.....deserves a hug and I'm sure he'll get a big one from Mom.
