Phil and I are leaving very soon for a road trip. We are leaving Holland, MI to bring Karl his new puppy in Lewiston, ID. Should be a good time, if Phil and I don't kill each other in the car on the way there ;D ;D ;D

Everything is going great out here in Idaho. I sure am glad that I'm not back in Michigan with all the snow they got there today, LOL!!!!

Karl and I went to the pet store and got Squirt a new collar and food dishes today. We had so much fun picking out stuff for his new little buddy.

We went to the casino for about a half an hour. All they had was penny and nickel slots. Phil and I like blackjack much better.

We filled our bellies on pizza and chicken wings for dinner. Yummy good stuff there.

Alright Jen, since we had to leave early to be with our toddler, you guys have to have fun for Cole and I too. That means twice the pics and twice the fun and games. Really enjoyed meeting and being with all of you. Karl, your the best host ever with an even bigger heart. Phil, you are just the best. And, Jen you are the number one bull sh(t player. Hope all of you bs the pants off the men. Loved the pups!!! They are all so cute! and such fun to watch. Really enjoyed learning to play euchered (sp) And Karl you make the most mouth watering pork chops in all of Idaho.

We've had a great day today. Phil and Karl ran a bunch of errands and worked on getting Karl's truck fixed. Phil finally did Karl's new tattoo. I was totally lazy all day and laid around and watched soap opera's and worked on an afghan that I plan on donating for the auction in July.

well i its my turn to post, having everyone here is a blast for me, phil has helped me use the o2 more effectivly (right mask) and i am a believer even more so now, i was able to abort a real nasty hit faster than ever before.
the tattoos and puppie will be a reminder for me of this visit with some great people.
i have been in a real funk with pending divorce, dr telling i cant work anymore and me having to take way to much trex.
but everyone showed up in time and i dont feel like such a freak anymore even though i probably am, guess im just okay with it,
George sure wish you were here and john too, but i am in for our tuna trip this year.
i really want to make to st loius this year to mett the rest of you freaks. yes even chuck!!!!! :o
one more thing
linda and jackie you have no idea the place i have in my heart for you two but its right next to phil,jen,george,john and johhny d ::)

yes i am feeling better and more hopeful, i still do my dancin but having you all on my side makes me think i dont have to live in this frickin hell, just visit it a few times a day :D
phil and jen and the pup were exactly what the dr ordered, not really he thinks lithium and verap and trex.
but it was funnny sending to clusterheads phil and I to the store for 6 items (not written down) gee our memory really blows ;D ;D ;D

Well our time here in Idaho is coming to an end :'(

Phil and I are going to be hitting the road soon, heading back for Michigan. We are taking a different route home so hopefully I can check in more while we are on the road this time.

I hate to leave. I don't want to leave. We've had such a wonderful time here. Karl has been the greatest host.

i couldnt disable the vehicle quick enough, i must say watching them leave broke my heart. several hugs and tears but after they were gone i cam back inside and there was this fluffy brown puppy on the floor looking at me and wagging his tail. i knew then i was going to be alright.
for all those that read this i want you to know that those two angels came and touched my life like very few ever do. i developed a hard exterioer over the years being chronic .
i wouldnt let anyone in, but those two Phil and Jen cracked the shell and infused life in me again
all this makes me want to meet all the rest of you so much in st loius.
phil worked on my truck so i can drive now, gave me a tattoo i have wanted, cooked some mean chicken and steaks. but he more importantly helped me in handlng my ch .
Jen gave me laughter and smiles ( she wasnt hard on the eyes either) ::)
all in all i have found life long friendship and i thank all you reading in sharing this and posting on ::) this ongoing thread.

Karl - After reading your story, I could die today being fully content - knowing that there are real examples of people who live the words compassion and humanity.

You will never know how this story of Phil and Jen's Excellent Adventure along with the sequel, Karl Gets a Puppy, has touched the hearts of so many.

What a blubbering idiot I am, good grief.

Ok here's the latest. We made it to Bozeman, Montana. We probably would've gone further, but the roads got sucky and it was dark. So me being a great big sissy didn't want to drive anymore tonight.

Driving away from Karl's house this morning broke my heart. I was crying like crazy. I couldn't even look back to wave one more time.

Karl I know you're gonna be just fine. You have our number and our emails. You have a great support system in place and you know that you can call any of us anytime. We were so happy to be there with you. Even if all I did was clean up the kitchen and act like a goofball, LOL!!!! Hey you forgot to mention that I made a killer potato casserole :D

This has been such an amazing adventure. I really can't put into words the things that I'm feeling right now. It's not often that I'm speechless.

I'm here finally, LOL!!! We just got home a bit ago. I've got the suitcases unpacked and I've already started laundry. I took more pictures on the way home, but I still need to get through them.
