Halleluia! I think.

Will it still turn your liver into a scab if you're not careful, like the high test stuff?

No I haven't Beth. Just saw the news report on CNN. They'll be serving it at the Oscars (or whatever those award shows are).

Can't wait to try it though :)

You are going to get about 75-100 calories from the alcohol in a beer or glass of wine ... unless it is alcohol free.

Yeah...that is what I was going to point out.  Alcohol == calories.
Do they sprinkle crack or meth in it for the intoxicating effect?

No-calorie wine among Oscar gifts

INDIANAPOLIS (CNN) - An Indiana winemaker will get his chance in the spotlight at this weekend's Academy Awards.

A zero calorie wine called "Slender" created by the Chateau Thomas Winery will be among the items included in the gift bags for the stars.

The winery boasts that "Slender" has no sugar, no carbs and no fats.

It sells for roughly $10 a bottle.

Y'all are right about the alcohol = calories part,  but its being touted on CNN and other media as  "no calorie"...........

Let me dream   ::)

I read up on it a little bit.

The sweetener used in the wine is zero calorie / zero carbs.  In other words, they used something akin to Splenda instead of sugar to sweeten the wine.

Thus, Slender is simply a sugar-free wine... keeping in mind that most of the calories in wine are tied to the alcohol, and the alcohol is still there.

So... if you are diabetic, enjoy.  If not, then you are probably drinking a sub-par wine thanks to deceptive marketing.

The wine in question is 10.99 a bottle.  Grapes themselves have calories and alcohol has calories.  Don't understand how they can tout it as being non-caloric.  I guess Holloywood will believe anything.

It may be considered non caloric because after you drink the nasty crap... you throw it up.  ::)

with warm regards,
Tony

Tony, you cracked me up !

In that case all wines are potentially calorie free if you consume enough ... as eventually you will throw them all back up , as well as any food ...  ;D

Well, let me know how it tastes... I love wine, but the sugar gets to me. I will have wine with dinner, but that's about it. Oh, and if it's red wine... it's a trigger. But, let us know!
