I remember the Haley Oliveaux case very well.  I just wonder how many innocent people were convicted due to the testimony of these forensic *experts*?  By gora, convict the criminals, but be careful about convicting innocent people.

That's unbelievable.  What's really horrible is the thought that any testimony they gave in cases where the defendant was guilty might now be overturned.  So the possibility of innocent people going to prison and guilty people getting out are both possible.

Wonder how much money they made testifying in cases like this?

Several cases of this kind have been found around Buffalo in the last couple of years and the cases overturned after the victims spent decades in prison.

What gets me about these things.......is that I have NEVER heard of a D. A. or department admit a mistake until months of judicial processes have occurred........nor most of the time after the case has been settled.
