;D

You all to the north just crack me up.

I very much like your understated ways...understatement is so much more devastating than any number of rants.   ;)

I'm sure you've noticed that we tend to rant a bit down south.

All the best,

George

Canadians are known to politely take it (where you think they put it) and patiently wait out what will happen.

Then it happens.  The entire nation rises up and says to the Prime Minister STFU.

Mulroney knows the truth of this....too bad Kim Cambell wasn't good for much than Mulroney fodder.  (in case you wonder, PM Cambell was the first female Canadian prime minister - her term lasted 4 months)

We are a happy quiet folk who go about our business, until the government decides to cross the arbitraty line.

Cat

edited cause my brain doesn't work

Hey, my brother would feel left out if his ranting wasn't heard just because we go South to get into Canada from Detroit.   ;)

Neighborly polite they be.    :)

Living at a border crossing (Marine City - Sombra) it would amaze me the numbers who showed in winter coats in high summer, one car even had skis on it!

Gotta love southwestern Ontario, south being the operative word ;)

You got that right Cat, we are quiet till it comes time to vote. Kim did not stand a chance after Mulroney shoved the GST (Government Screwing Tax) down our throat.
He stepped down as PM 4 months before election time.

There, that is my rant for the day.

Ya know Angie, for good or bad, Trudeau was one who was either hated or loved, but you have to admire his ability to tell the people "look, this is how it is, I'm going to screw you over it, end story" - no BS, just plain and simple - your screwed hehe.

I'll hold my tongue on some of his other antics because I don't wish to offend.  As for Stevie boy.....OY  - all though I suppose it could be the Bloc....

It's far too difficult to follow the politics of 2 countries LOL.

What's sad about the grab and steal tax is that at 7% they realized they were making more money than they could hide, so they had to drop the rate.  Now tell me that a flat tax wouldn't work....

Ok, my rants done hehe

Put down a beer?!?!?!  Are you insane man??

Besides which, the Newfies already declared war, but when they found out the size of Obama's forces they called it off, there was just no way they could feed that many prisoners :P

Whoosh LOL,

You should be complementing him on his British ways, since the quote is from "The Holy Grail"

I hope Obama leaves his bad politics in the great white north, hopefully in a snow drift that won't melt in 100 years because of global cooling.

Watching his visit here on TV, i had to wonder what kind of a person wants to live like that (all those people around him, forcing him to live in a security bubble), and what kind of a so called intellectual would want a job with insurmountable global problems that he can make no effect on.
Politicians are an odd breed.

When in doubt, ask yourself about the power.
