hey ppl im at a dead end any input would be much appreciated my hubby is a chronic CH he's had it for 3yrs but only was diagnosed 1 month ago his neurologist is Rx verapamil but that aint working... so he was just about to get 02 when his doctor realised he smokes and told the neurologist where can i get 02 without a Rx

You can get O2 even if you smoke, you just have to be very careful and understand the implications of safe useage that's all

If you need more advice please say where you are (it helps to know which O2 company etc)

You can over ride your doctor in this, deal with the PCT direct if necessary etc.. don't worry!

one month on verap isn't much and the dosage may not be sufficient, verap is also a prevent rather than an abortive which O2 is - does your hubby have any other abortives such as imigran?

im in burnley lancs, & no he has no other abortive meds he had anaphalactic shock to thr triptans his neurologist is away on holiday so his doc wants to prescribe opiates ie co-codamol disolvable which i dont approve of but if they work so be it!!!

well, that's just great isn't it.? Has no problem putting him on narcotics, but 02 is out of the question. Begs the question of where he got his degree, doesn't it?

BTW...I was about to answer your PM and then saw you had posted this here also. No, oxygen cannot be shipped to the UK from the US, but if, after trying what Helen has suggested you may want to look into welders oxygen. You will not need a script for that and welders 02 is the same as medical 02. Just make certain if they ask what it's for to NOT tell them it is for medical use.

yeah sorry that was rude of me im charlotte so what do i tell these ppl who supply 02 for non medical reasons what im using it for? im completely uneducated as to all this stuff but i will damn well learn whatever it takes, WHATEVER IT TAKES ive only just learnt how to use a pc so 4give any inetiquet that i may have or will in the future commit :D
