My third son, Michael (Monkey) was picked up about three hours ago, and is on his way to MCRD San Diego for Boot Camp. It is something he has been looking forward to and preparing for for some time now. I believe he will do well. Prayers for him would be appreciated.

I'll say a prayer that he remains safe where-ever he eventually is stationed. Also saying a prayer that he, and others like him will one day never be needed.

END PRINTPAGE. They have a link for boot camp specific to SD and you can meet up with other parents who's kids are in your sons week of bootcamp. They provide a matrix showing what he does everyday so you can pray specifically for what he is doing. It provides pictures of your son in the chevron newspaper link, and a picture link towards closer to graduation with his platoon picture. Just full of lots of good stuff. Search the site out and get familiar with it. You will be glad you did!

Jerry be sure to let us know of his progress. If any holidays pop up during periods where he has some freedom, let us know. We'd be happy to host him for a meal.

Wow Blessings all around... He will do really well be sure to keep us posted. You can email me privately too Ree16angel@aol.com with an address when you get one on him... that would be fun to write to him.

You have been such a comfort to me Jerry in all of the deployments my family has dealt with etc... medical issues etc... I want to be here for you as well if there is ever anything we can do for you...

I wish Michael well. It's wonderful that he is willing to serve his country in this manner.

Great smile - I think back to my boot camp and wonder how long it will take for the DI to wipe it off his face. Kind of a "Holy crap what did I just do to myself".

He will return to you as a man.
