When I was 6 years old (1952) I'd be sitting on the furnace grate in the kitchen in cold weather waiting for Mom to cook breakfast and listening to Paul Harvey. We loved the guy.

As a kid, every noon hour following the Haws LiveStock Report right up to a couple of years ago when the local country station stopped broadcasting his report.

His style of newscasting without self-agrandizement will be missed. We have lost a true gentleman.

The 2 years I worked in construction. The whole site would screech to a halt, get silent as church, and every danged radio would be tuned to Paul Harvey.........goood day! :'(
