Yep God is not throwing snow flakes down he is throwing snow balls down. I learn from my mistakes, I am in the nice warm house, I am not breaking a leg, arm, toe or anything in this stuff. I am watching my family out the window. They are walking in the woods right now.
It has been snowing for about a hour here.

Its pretty and JD is having fun that is the main thing. The dogs are barking they must be on their way back. I need to heat up some soup for my cold crew.

We're supposed to get 10" - and I made a big pot of chicken stock yesterday for chicky noodle soup today  :)     yumz

And I'm doing the snow dance hoping some of Jen's will come my way like it'supposed to. We have a 5 to 7 inch prediction but so very often it hits the Chesapeake Bay and *poof*  it's all gone and we get up and go to school in the rain.  I don't really care for snow but I sure could use a snow day about now!

Forecast here is for anywhere from 12 - 17 inches, possibility of 2 -3 inches per hour with thunder snow and lots of wind tonight and tomorrow. Can you say "stoked"? [smiley=headbanger.gif]

Working from home has its good points but unless the power goes out there is no snow day for me....bummer.

This morning's USA Today had a picture from Atlanta.  Banged up cars, bad conditions.   Y'all be very careful.

Well it didn't go *poof* this time and we  got a snow day!! I think you may have to wait a bit for that delivery Jen. Maddie is having a ball and would love to be playing with the dog on Cyn's utube. This is her first snow (she's only 2!) and she is like a toddler, whining at the door all morning, just can't get enough of it!  Stay warm and safe everyone.

Elaine lost power right after she made this post.  They are still out.

She said she loved me but I could keep the snow up here... :P

It wasn't to bad. Just 24 hours without power. We had fun. We had a generator so we wasn't totally without. The worst part was no water. JD  built his first real snow man. Was able to go walking in it, and as he said "He clobbered his Mom and Papa with hughe snow balls. Boy was I smart to stay in the house. I did go out one time and shook snow off my ceder tree the snow was breaking the limbs and its so pretty, I had to save it. We cooked in a skillet so we were able to eat hot meals. Having a generator is a good thing. Deveny and JD played board games all afternoon and Buddy and I watched the race. We went to be when dark came.

Now we didn't sleep well. See we have one of those number beds. They are wonderful. When there is no electricity they don't work. Every morning when I make the bed up I let the bed all the way up to 100 that means the bed is hard. At night when we go to bed I let it down to 35 our number ;-) ! Well we couldn't let it down and it was just to much trouble to plug it into the generator. So it was like sleeping on a board.

I did have to put my foot down one time. Buddy was going to work. I made him get in bed...I mean good Lord I love Buddy and I wasn't about to let him get on the road. He followed orders and went back to bed. We got up around 11 and he headed to Moms to check on her and grab a shower before going to work.

Now that the electricity is on we all warm, bathed and happy.

It wasn't bad at all for us. But Jackie keep the snow up there !

Glad your power is back on, Elaine.  Snow once in awhile is nice.  We haven't had much here.  I was kinda bummed about that.  Now that it is March, I'm ready for spring.  ( I hope the Beast stays away though... He's usually a Spring visitor for me ).

Weird to think you all are getting nailed with heavy snow in the Northeast and down south.  It's warm and breezy here in Boise--currently, 68 F and partly cloudy.  A nice, spring-like day.
