Hi Zeek,

The memory loss during cycles (or as I choose to call them) blonde moments are a bit rough to handle but do thankfully disappear when the cycle ends.

I've never tried the energy drinks but am a bit worried about the amount you are consuming.  Hopefully someone who has more experience with the energy drinks will come along and comment.

Welcome to the crazy world of CH.com.  We're here to help.

Cyn

Hi Zeek,

Niot knowing what the laws or rules are where you live, can you try pure oxygen?  Has  anyone ever talked to you about that?

here is something for you to read and talk to your Dr. about.

Oxygen is safe, cheap, and it works for so very many of us to abort a headache.

My son has had severe asthma since the age of 2 also...He was on Steroids for a (short) while also...I would hate to think that you've been on them for such a long time.

I sincerely hope you'll stick around and read all the pertinent information around here.  I understand it will take some time for you to do that, but it will be worth it.  ;)

Linda

Hi cyn thanks for your reply unfortunatly in my case the memory loss appears to slowly be getting worse and altho at first it was only during cycles it now appears to be permanent!
and hi linda Im working on the o2 with the doc at the moment
he listens when you tell him things and then goes away and researches it for you (sounds better than some of the US ones )

Sounds like you have a great doc...cool!!  Some of us have had to search through a bunch of them before we found one that would work with us.  The seventh neurologist was my lucky charm.

O2 is a life saver for many of us here so I hope it also provides you some relief.  Keep us posted on your progress, k?

G'day Zeek and welcome to the world's biggest unfenced asylum outside of Canberra. Good to hear your doctor will work with you in fighting the beast so give him this link as well.

It was put together by a Westralian water-passer along with his parole officer, Mr Happy, and explains O2 in terms down under. Of course the only known cure involves simply sending beer-vouchers to the Rollingstone Hotel, Townsville (Attn: AB) but the oxygen may help in the short term.

Go the Wallabies,

Brian.

Oh I have cluster induced CRS too (Can't Remember sh.. something  ;) )

I swear by energy drinks too - the trick as you probably know is chugging them as fast as you can at first twinge.

Do you find cold or heat make a difference for you? I find cold a huge help, as in ice packs etc.

I'm glad you've finally taken the plunge to post - it's not so scary huh?! I knew a guy from Palmerston North many many years ago. He stayed with my family while he was working his way around Europe, he was a lovely bloke, although I do remember him chasing me and my friend up the road yelling blue bloody murder at us after we stuck a sign on his car offering it for sale for £15 or near offer.. We were only 14 at the time. Luckily I've been an absolute model of decorum ever since..

hmm today is turning into a day for remembering far too many misdeeds LOL

Hi Lelimey
cold does it for me an ice pack to the back of the neck works well for
me most of the time
did he catch you ?

Ice packs on the back of the neck as well as on the front of my head really feel like they help. Be sure and wrap them in a cloth though, don't slap 'em on straight against your skin!

No he flippin' didn't catch us LOL I'm not as daft as I look and he was steaming! We did alot of bad things to him come to think of it, Lisa and I saw him walking down the street one day so she ran down and locked the front door so he couldn't get in and I leaned out the window with the shower attachment - soaked him good and proper LOL

That was a big ooops though as we had no escape! The only thing we could do was I covered her by zapping him with more water so he stayed away from the door while she ran down, unlocked it and ran back up so we could lock ourselves in my room!

That man had a serious sense of humour failure I think..  ;)

do you remember his name ?
he must have had a sence of humour you survived didnt you?
we have a touch of the irish down here and even taggers get stabbed by business men and only get minimal jail time !!

Oh I remember him well - and I don't remember ALL my victims LOL He was called Ivan Hedley, this was back in about 1980 or thereabouts so a long time ago!

G’Day Zeek
Welcome to the nut hut; good to see you got a Doc that will listen, that’s a bonus.

The link Brian give you for the o2 gear should apply in NZ, the laws in NZ may be different to over here & you may have to get a prescription or letter from the Doc to get the o2, if that’s the case make sure the Doc stipulates a regulator that will go over 15 litres per minute, if you are going to use a C size bottle the new medical regulators for those will now go up to 25 litres/min & don’t require the flow controller it’s now built in.

Depending on how hard & for how long you are getting hit will determine the size bottle you are going to need; the C size is only good for about 3 hits & should only be used for a traveller I’d suggest depending on what you can afford & what your medical insurance will cover that you go for at least a D size bottle for home, when in high cycle I can get around a weeks worth of air from a D, if you go for an E bottle you are looking at about 10 to 14 days worth, its going to be a bit of suck it & see but its always good to have one on standby in case you run out.

If you got any ???s feel free to PM me.

O2 rocks

Cheers
Barry
