Doctor Nancy is planning on talking about it at a later date.

I actually wrote an email to Dr. Nancy Sniderman to say thanks for mentioning Clusters but it was too little and inaccurate.  She said that only men get these headaches.  Well, I beg to differ.  I have chronic clusters and I am female.  I asked her to get the word about Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy's petition to the House to support fair funding for Headache Disorder Research.  Although much of the research will probably for Migraines, but perhaps it will get us closer to better treatments for Clusters.  Hope everyone has signed the petition!  

What e-mail address did you use? I beg to differ with her on women not getting CH also. Or maybe my neuro just doesn't know what he's talking about :) :) :).

I've been thinking lately about contacting 'The Doctors' show on CBS about clusters. I think it is a great show, even though Dr. friggin' Phil created it. They seem to take all kinds of "real people's" questions about conditions, afflictions, whatever, and do a short piece about them. I would almost guarantee that they would do one about us crack minded folks.

Question is, who wants to step up, and be on TV? I am personally on hiatus (shhhhh), and would not be a good candidate. Anybody want to volunteer? :)

Several people have done this in the past...Mike Day our OUCH president, for instance.   His was local though I believe.

Yes, I get your point. The goal is to get ON the show, and get the word out....get lots of words out. And you know the questionaire is being viewed by some producer's flunky, who may or may not send it up the line to the second flunky, who may pigeonhole it for that headache show in 2010. So, yep, there needs to be a compelling story to get their attention.

Also, if someone DOES manage to get on, they have to be knowledgable, articulate, and photogenic. Hey, it's tv.

So......any cute, smart, passionate people want to fill out the form, and be our spokesperson on national TV? :)
