Being a thrift store junkie, I spend a lot of time in them.

I have a Salvation Army nearby, and also a Goodwill (St. Vinnie's is a little more of a drive).  I've notice Goodwill's prices have skyrocketed recently (relative to what they used to be rather than comparing retail).  Why they think they'll get $3.99 for something they used to charge 49 cents for is beyond me.

I love garage sales and it's almost time for them to start up again. . . .  ::)

I do too, but the prices even at THOSE have gotten to be outrageous!! :(

Yet, one more thing we have in common Pat.  

I once got a ticket for doing a very fast U-turn in a street because I had missed a Yard sale sign.  (sounds of screeching tires)

Also when I am driving through a town I've never been in before I have an uncanny sense of where all the thrift stores are.  I make Jim crazy, especially when we were driving across country to Richmond in 07   ;D  He kept saying...do you want to get to the convention or do you want to buy more stuff.  You can't do both.
