Title: How will you spend Sunday? Post by QnHeartMM on Apr 4th, 2009 at 10:28pm
Joe's off tomorrow, YAY and we have nothing scheduled (Double YAY!). So what to do?
Start with the hot tub for sure. Then maybe go down to the water and walk around. Or take a drive up to the mountains. Looking for ideas. What is everyone else doing? |

Looks like I'll be watching it snow and taking care of my beautiful bride, who appears to be succumbing to some nasty virus.

Title: Re: How will you spend Sunday? Post by LeLimey on Apr 5th, 2009 at 7:16am Well I am planning on doing some housework while making dinner for my adorable children and eating calcichew like they're going out of fashion as I'm two finger typing here - hands are locked. I had wanted to go out but don't feel driving is sensible at the moment. I'll hope for tomorrow! I CAN cook a nice dinner and dessert for everyone though so all is not lost! |

That is what I did, too. But this time I didn't attend the Sunday Mass but I went to vote for my favourite candidate for our parish's new clergyman (well, feel free to correct me what the right and proper word is, but head of the parish and a priest anyway...). The current clergyman will retire later this year and he will be missed! He is a family friend via dad's work at Lions Club, and this very same priest made dad's funeral bareable with his kind words. That election has been taking a lot of my time, because on past 4 Sundays I've attended the meetings in which all 3 candidates told about themselves and answered to questions and last Sunday was the debate, which was my favourite part - especially, because most of those who attended agreed that my favourite candidate, a 37-year-old, won the debate clearly. All 3 candidates are men, two of them are 50 and are married with several kids. The third candidate is 37 and single. I sent all 3 an email with 3 questions and just two of them replied. I didn't ask that bad questions; just did they think that it's a problem that 18-30 year-olds are leaving the church by masses; what was their opinion on arranging some sort of blessing/prayer ceremony for same sex couples (which is one topical issue among the Evangelic-Lutheran Church here in Finland) and thirdly, what was their favourite passage from The Bible... I voted for the candidate number 3, because he made the best election sermon, gave the best answers to all my questions and made exellent points throughout the debate - he was so good that one of his opponets actually made an uncalled for comment! But this man didn't return the comment with similar tone, but replied kindly and wisely and the whole packed church applauded as he finished. Needless to say, the very same candidate who made that comment didn't reply to my email. And didn't get my mother's vote, either. Tomorrow evening we'll find out which one of the 3 men won. I feel so strongly about this election that if that rude candidate will win, I'll start to look at flats from other parish's area on Sunday. Sanna |

I hate that for Blake and you Jackie. Tell him he has a whole lot of people pulling for him.
Well we just got back from church, our church has a early service I love that. Now sitting back waiting for the race to start, and the rain. I plan to play on the internet today some. If the clouds don't block my internet signal! |

You must be the only person in the world...or at least my world who has such a great relationship with an ex. Good for you Chuck. I wish all divorces could be as...not only civil, but mutually healthy. Especially when there are children involved. (sorry for getting off-topic here. Back to your porn conversation) |
