The idiot administration's newest wicked witch at DHS has just dissed American veterans... "The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias."
There is no credible proof or empirical data to support this liberal cerebral flatulence... Napolitano is a threat to the security of the United States and Obama must ask her to step down. If your Senators and Congressmen who voted for the porkulus package without reading it do not call for her removal, call them and tell them to check out an orange jump suit and start working on their perp walk... YGBSM! |

Well then Batch, you better get on the phone to your republican reps, cuz save for a whole whopping 39 of them, they all voted for the package. But like most "conservatives" you have no shame when it comes to your sniping; not a care for fairness, enclusiveness, or repect for the truth. No "personal repsonibility" at all.
So this pork is hardly a exclusive left-wing issue, but keep lying and painting your nazi dream land picture long enough and most people will believe - our lying, drunk driving, cocaine riddled, pot-smoking, spying on his constituants, furer Bushler showed us that. Here is a hint. Very few people give a shit. Even less will listen to your unashamed bias banter and be pursuaded to join your side if they are already not. In fact, because of you and people like you I may switch from independant to Democratic. Must you keep this verbal masturbation up forever? It really feels that good to you? |

I saw the write up about the shift in focus for DHS and I think EVERY American should be afraid....very afraid. This administration and congress is becoming afraid of its citizens yet they let our boarders leak like a sieve, turn a blind eye to sources of real trouble (N. Korea, Iran etc.) and want to reduce our military.

Sure, it violates right wing political correctness - it recognizes that veterans are human beings who have the same issues as everyone else. But it is honest. |

The definition of "extremist group" changes depending on who's in charge. It's all just so much hot air. When they start silencing those on the opposite side, or when they start taking people's guns away, that's when they'll have real problems.
And remember: It's all Bush's fault. I hear it more and more often these days, so I'm just acknowledging it. Say it over and over: It's all Bush's fault. |

Unfortunately postmenopausal political hacks have a lot in common with this despicable alert sent out by DHS... I realize the term postmenopausal may appear inappropriate so forgive me if I've offended anyone at that stage of life. It's just a fact... Having spent the better part of a year on a postmenopausal regimen of fosamax and hormones to repair the damage done by nearly two years of taking prednisone... I know what it's like to be called postmenopausal... and at my age... it's no big deal...
Having said that, the fact remains true when one recalls the last left-wing postmenopausal political hack in a previous left-wing administration who pulled similar stunts only using real bullets against people in the US... "Shoot'em-Up" at Ruby Ridge and Waco Attorney General Janet Reno... You begin to see the classic liberal MO all over again... The Marxist trained community organizer and his Chief of Staff, "Dead Fish" Emanuel, were well aware of all the Tea Parties planned for today that must have had them loading their pants... Accordingly, they let DHS (Napolitano) launch the first salvo of radical left cerebral flatulence at Conservative Americans... by saying anyone opposed to abortion, amnesty for illegal aliens, runaway spending and over taxation is a far right wing radical.... YGBSM!!! That DHS alert crossed the line... The Marxist trained community organizer's administration has declared war on American conservatives... Good people of Clusterville, this is right out of the far-left playbook and standard operating procedures for the liberals... demonize conservatives... paint them as radicals... do anything to conceal the fact that they are trying to destroy capitalism, the Constitution, our great Nation, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness... all in the name of being "progressive"... then hide behind the skirts of administrative appointee hacks... For reference, the statement coming out of DHS is a rework of the Marxist trained community organizer's campaign speech in San Francisco where he dissed Midwest voters as Gun Toting, Bible Thumping Rednecks and Archie Bunker types." "And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” - Obama "The presumptive Democrat presidential front runner said his plan would employ “these Archie Bunker-type people” in government programs “to register and/or confiscate inappropriate personal firearms, to monitor churches for hate-speech about homosexuality or abortion, and to build tax-funded housing for low income illegal aliens.” - Obama If you can't see through the obvious anti-conservative propaganda coming out of the most radical far left administration in our Nation's history, open your ears and eyes... It's all over the place! If you've not done the math... here's a factoid on the obscene and egregious spending over the last few years... and yes Republicans are guilty too... An employed taxpaying person of 20 will pay $120,000 in tax over his or her wage-earning career just to pay for the interest (not principal) on the present National debt... And... when the Marxist trained community organizer gets done with his out of control spending during his first term, the National debt will double and so will the tax that 20 year old will pay over his or her wage earning career... And Oh By The Way... I'm still waiting to hear the liberal rationale for the deaths of 50 Million American babies through abortion when less than 3% were due to the health of the mother... You can't answer that can you? But I'll bet you're proud that Kathleen Sebelius, the 44th Governor of Kansas, who as Governor, vetoed every bill that would have protected the rights of the unborn, is going to be HHS... and guess what she is? And catch this... another one of them... this time it's Secretary of State, Clinton who just promised to send a US envoy to a Somali conference on piracy... Wow... Now that's stunning... Take very good care... Our Nation and our freedoms are in great danger from the radical left. V/R, Batch |

I see a few here that like to change the subject because they will not accept the same type of criticism they spoke of another President. Blinded by their own parties politics. Title: Re: Post Menopausal Liberal Hack Post by Shawn on Apr 16th, 2009 at 12:34am
For some of us, politics are not exactly the same thing as core values. Our core values certainly drive our political leanings, but the core values are far more important that the game of politics. Unfortunately that leads to trying to argue core values with someone who is purely arguing politics, and that's why the conversations completely bypass each other.
I have stopped arguing politics with those who choose not to be grounded by the Constitution. It is pointless. Either you believe in this government as framed by our founders, or you don't. It is a simple matter to do your own research and discover what our founders meant when they crafted our Constitution and the various amendments... read the Federalist papers. Read the anti-Federalist papers. Learn about the philosophers that the framers of the constitution modeled their thinking after. Read history books about the rise and fall of previous empires like Rome. Read up on Karl Marx, Stalin, Lenin, Hitler. You will learn how and why these systems fail, and why our government was designed with the concept of God-given, unalienable rights bestowed on man not by men, but by the natural order of the universe (some people call this God). I truly believe in our system of government, but that does not mean I believe that it is invulnerable to the apathy, greed, and evil intentions that exist in the world. It is a thing of beauty that deserves our complete attention and steadfast support. Otherwise, by our silence, we agree to have it destroyed by those who would happily seize the opportunity to subjugate us. But, that doesn't mean I have to argue with idiots. For now, I debate only with those who choose to educate themselves about why we (America) are who we are before they proclaim who we should be. Intelligent debate is nice, but ideological head banging it not something I care to participate in any more. |

Don, I stand corrected. You're right. People DO care.
But they mistake caring about the country and our situation, for caring about being right and proving others wrong. Like Rush. The new breed of "conservative" isn't a conservative at all, but an elite liberal seperatist. Those people only care about the consitiution or the truth when it helps them stoke their ego and help them win arguements, which is often the only reason they are here. They love to leave out the parts that do not actively promote the exact spin they prefer. I have some bitchin exchanges saved on my hard drive with some so-caled conservatives on here that really highlight the extend of the agressive behavior, the lying and then the desperate denial to save face. Definition of hypocrit. And most of the time, it is these people that open these doors on the boards. Then people repsond and they bitch some more. What frickin good is any of it going to do? Unless these tireless bitchers are ready to use the 2nd admendment and form a armed rebellion (that is what it is all about right? I mean the right to bear arms against a corrupt government) then 1. it really isn't as bad as these McCarthyists are selling, or 2. they are just disingenuine. Can't have it both ways, though usually that is just what they try to do. |

The founding fathers were rarely of one mind - as you indicate with references to the Federalist Papers and various anti-Federalist tracts that were published. When Jefferson handpicked Madison to succeed him, Madison was 'unanimously' approved, even though 30% of the delegates were boycotting the meeting in protest. The duel between Hamilton and Burr is emblematic of the deep political differences between those who laid the initial framework of the country. Much of what the founding fathers settled on was a compromise - because even then, politics was the art of the possible. What do you make of these quotes from the founding fathers?? Personal property is the effect of Society; and it is as impossible for an individual to acquire personal property without the aid of Society, as it is for him to make land originally. Separate an individual from Society, and give him an island or continent to possess, and he cannot acquire personal property. (Thomas Paine, in support of a collectivist view of wealth) There is no natural right to bequeath, nor to inherit. Inheritance tax is therefore morally justified. (Thomas Jefferson, in support of land reform, ie, government redistribution of wealth.) In "Agrarian Justice" Paine proposed "A Basic Income Guarantee" - he thought all should receive a modest sum of money from the government, even those (especially those) too destitute to pay taxes. This program flowed from the natural rights of man to life, and these natural rights were more important than property rights. It was to be funded by taxes on those who owned productive land. |

Ahhh Monty… You make fishing for liberals such great sport… You rise to take the bait on nearly every cast… Let’s see… was that page 2 of the liberal playbook where it tells you how to slide in the slam on the 2nd Amendment? Perhaps it was page 1 where it tells you and Janet Napolitano how to diss the conservative values and principles embodied in the Constitution by singling out veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan as a threat to National security? Or was it page 3 where they tell you how to fear monger?
You’re off message Monty, so we can only assume you missed the uber liberal daily twitter yesterday morning. You were supposed to diss the Tea Parties then tell me I would be receiving a tax rebate… like the shill from CNN… monty wrote on Apr 15th, 2009 at 3:36pm:

Perhaps you can tell us why we hear nothing about the real threat from known terrorists profiles… Many of them are already here in the US practicing Sharia law and favoring jihad in the mosque right down the street… Why we can’t even call pirates the terrorists that they really are… Instead we must refer to them as criminals with an unfortunate childhood or merchant mariner organizers… how cute… how nuanced… Maybe you can explain why the Marxist trained community organizer nearly split his britches doing a full bow at the waist to an Arab king… how sweet… and very nuanced… By the way, I’m still confused about one thing… You exercise a keen intellect in reaching out with compassion to fellow cluster headache sufferers in need, yet you still haven’t given us the liberal rationale for the murder of 50 million American babies before they could be born when less than 3% were aborted to save the mother’s life… You can’t do it, can you? There is little doubt amoung the people I know who read history books besides the rainbow ending ones high schools and colleges hand out that this country was mostly founded by what were at the time, liberal.
The bulk of the conservative element actually wanted to stay vassels of England indefinatly. There was quite a battle amoung the colonists before any battle against England. Anyone well versed in Adam Smith, the father of capitolism, is clear that he provided 90% tax for America's most welathy consituants. Lots of societies do not allow people of exuberant wealth to make money off of poor people in the form of interest and what not for even things as home and car loans. In America, your dying grandmother's health is for sale to the lobbists with the highest bidder. The funny thing is, the real divide in America is not Democrat or Republican, but it is increasingly between the haves and have-nots. The haves LOVE it when things get partisan - the longer they can keep the have-nots at each others throats the more they can steal for themselves while they play-act out their fights (while they laugh all the way to the bank). And yes that is democrat AND republican alike. Face it - this shit is broke and needs fixing. Too bad the only people that can do that are the ones who benefit by it being broke. |

So they were going to dump the million tea bags on tarps in a park, ceremoniously invoke the spirit of tea bagging, and clean up all the tea bags. But their park permit didn't allow them to do that. So a handful of people took the tea bags into a conference room in a Washington think tank, and they threw the bags on a table and the floor, they stomped, and said a few angry things. Powerful voodoo or silly, empty symbolism?? Most Americans are laughing. Spot on Chris... But you see profiling is alright if the uber liberal progressives do it... Just vote the idiot Congressmen in your State out of office if they didn't bother to read the porkulus bill before voting for it...
The political pendulum of public opinion has started to swing the other way and the two RINOette Senators from Maine are already loading their depends over what voting for the stimulus bill is doing to the other RINO, Arlen Specter... “Just 31% of Keystone State voters say are more likely to vote for Specter because of his position on the stimulus package while 40% are less likely to do so.’ That is going to spread. I've already faxed and sent email to the idiot Congressmen from my state that failed to read the stimulus bill before voting for it. I’ve politely told them to start looking for employment elsewhere come election time... The Boston Legal video is good TV drama but I prefer 24... If you want to see some real action, the uber lefties at the dally kuz and bluffington post are suffering explosive gastroenteritis over the fact that their Marxist trained community organizer just approved the NSA wire tap program and placed it back in operation... I fail to see why this important program that has kept us safe since 9/11 has so many folks running around with their knickers in a bunch... Wait until you get universal health care... You don't know what an invasion of privacy is until you find high resolution full color images and videos of your colon in a government data base at HHS... As far as handling of the POWs go... I don't recall there being any of reports of deaths after they were in US custody... Unfortunately the same can't be said for some of the fraternity initiations... or the 50 million babies aborted before they could be born since Roe vs Wade passed in 1973... Howz that for putting things in perspective? And Charlie... You're right... We did recover from a host of political screw-ups in the past... However, the past transgressions didn't take us headlong into socialism or spend our Nation into a generational debt that will take two generations of Americans to pay off... Federal and State big government spending is already up to 40% of the GNP… and both parties in the House are still voting for more spending that none of us can pay for without handing over more than half our pay in taxes and that’s still not enough… The Tea Parties on 15 April were a wake-up call… over 260,000 attended Tea Party protests in 306 different cities across the country. START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!! You need to ![]() ![]() They were not just Republicans, Democrats, and moderates… They were Americans peacefully protesting out of control spending by both parties, bailouts, a promise of change by the Marxist trained community organizer that he has failed to honor, delivering instead the far left socialist policies of tax & spend, and redistribution of wealth, a bloated government that is only getting bigger while taking over industry to destroy capitalism at every opportunity, and many other egregious acts. Most of all, they are angry that we have an administration and Congress that will not listen… and that anger is well founded as true to form… the Marxist trained community organizer claimed he was unaware of the Tea Parties… "The White House says the president is unaware of the tea parties and will hold his own event today," ABC's Dan Harris said on "Good Morning America" on April 15. So much for the promised transparency… That was a flat out lie by the White House… and anyone who believes that lie is a fool… Rohm “Dead Fish” Emanuel has polls running daily in every State and several in every major population center so the White House knew damn well all about the Tea Parties. They had Axelrod, the master of "Astroturfing" working overtime loading TOTUS and their twitter tweeter nearly melt down trying to get out all the spin… How else would the lame stream media, most of whom are in or on the verge of bankruptcy, get all the same uber liberal talking points to bash Tea Parties, Tea Party attendees, Fox News, and talk radio? It’s very obvious… Even the wicked witch of the West, princess Pelosi and her politburo got twitted with the buzzword “Astroturf” to use in describing the grass roots effort started by CNBC’s Rick Santelli’s famous rant calling for a Chicago Tea Party back in February. Then on Thursday, the Marxist trained community organizer violated the cardinal rule of law governing intelligence matters… You never divulge “sources and methods” for any reason… Unfortunately, the Marxist trained community organizer cares so little about the safety and security of our Nation, he handed sensitive Top Secret intelligence information over to the American Communist Liberty Union… He has no idea of the damage he’s done… Well bless my long gray whiskers, It looks like we hooked another spinning liberal or two… back the boat down Billy… we gotta get some line back before they spit the hook. And Monty… You still can’t answer the abortion question can you? You’re becoming a very Artful Dodger… Where’s Fagin? Take care, very good care,.. You’re going to need all you can get… V/R, Batch |

Honestly I generally ignore the political themes...but.........what if....
Bush really wasn't the reincarnation of Hitler........what if he was an idealistic man, who may have done some illegal drugs as a young man in college....and became president because he thought he could help keep this country great. And honestly did what he thought was right in an attempt to keep the country strong and leave the country a better place for his children.....and....what if... Obama really wasn't an undercover operative for Al Queda, and wasn't part of the vast liberal conspiracy to create a new socialist order, take guns away from everybody, and generally believed the path he was taking was the humane, noble and right thing to do. What if he was actually being guided by what he thought would be the best course to take to leave a better country for his children. I know.........it's just that kind of nonsense that would put a thousand hate radio jocks out of business. I'll go back into my corner and forget the thought that everybody has a little good in them. And now it is more important than ever that people do walk through the doors. These people count on being able to bamboozel others with lies and just plain tire them out. Do you really want the country to go back to where is was the last 8 years? If so, keep ignoring these open doors and in 4 years we can have another Bush in office. |

And here is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I try to never get involved in political discussions anywhere, because in this day and age, it's futile and gets nowhere other than animosity with the opposing viewpoint. However, I want to remind everyone. The President of the United States, no matter his/her party, his/her color, his/her viewpoints, does NOT make the laws. The people that YOU elect to the House of Representatives make the laws. The people that YOU elect to the Senate ratify those laws. The President has the power to veto those laws that come on his/her desk. Pick a law, any law. Let's say it is a really good law that should be enacted for the betterment of every American. By the time it passes the House, many "earmarks (note: PORK), has been added. Then the Senate gets the bill. More "earmarks/PORK gets added. Now it goes to the President. Gee, this is a really good, necessary bill, but with all the crap that's been added it's now crap. Do I sign, or do I veto? If I sign, I, the President, will be held "responsible" for all the added crap. If I veto, I, the President, will be held "responsible" for not allowing a necessary bill to pass. I, the President is in a lose/lose position on any bill that lands on my desk. LINE ITEM VETO POWER TO THE PRESIDENT! Most Governors of states have this power, mine does, why does the President of the US not have this power. Bottom line, I don't give a rats ass whether you love/hate Obama, Bush, love/hate the Democrats/Republicans, love/hate black white. None of this has nothing to do with anything. You got a problem with government? Blame us for voting for, and re-voting for inept Representatives and Senators and allowing them to add their PORK to needed legislation that benefits all Americans. Blame us, for electing the greedy, the partisan politicians, the ones who care only about their own pockets, their own party or their own constituents before caring about their country. Blame us for voting for the local dog catcher just because we've heard of his name before. It's our fault. It's only our fault. Quit blaming the President, of any persuasion. It's our fault. It's my fault - it's your fault. It's not totally because "very few people give a shit". They do give a shit. What's real is because very few people realize that the President of the United States of America, has very little power in making the laws of this country. It's because very few people understand that the people they vote into the House and the Senate are the ones to do have the power to make the laws in this country. Got a problem? Blame ourselves FOR Congress! We are getting exactly what we deserve. Soapbox is now closed. Sandy |

I am breaking a self-imposed rule to post here. Last time I posted in a political thread I came very close to getting myself some time off.
Folks, let me make a few points that I frankly don't care if you agree with: 1. Republicans are idiots. Their party leadership screwed up so much over the last 8 years it is ridiculous. If you disagree with this, you aren't smart enough for me to discuss anything with you. I very much agree with Joe about what he said Bush might have been. I voted for him twice and I still think the guy is a decent person. 2. Democrats are idiots. Their party decided the best way to lead this country was with either a man with very little experience or a woman who is not liked much by most people. The democrats keep strolling out a bunch of horrible candidates who either have no integrity or no experience. I honestly think Obama is probably a good person, but President at this point was a huge stretch. Let's hope his advisers turn out better than Bush's. 3. Funny to make this point after #1 and #2, but the reason I said #1 and #2 was to make this point. MAKING generalizations about people based on politics, age, gender..... just plain ignorant. The title of this thread takes away from any intelligent discourse the initial poster might have had. Folks, if you have something to say, try making the point without needless random insults. I bet my #1 and #2 points would have been read with more open minds if I had not started them with the initial statements. Anyway, my point, which I stretched into a long annoying post is that these threads would be easier to read and more interesting/informative if people would stop using hateful language and insult where they are not needed. Had the title of this thread been "Democrats attacking our troops as they return home" would not the message been more effective?? Well, now I can have people tell me I am a nazi for voting for Bush and McCain and have others call me a socialist for saying I think Obama is probably a good man and thinking Rush is just an entertainer with little to offer. I'm looking forward to all the insults hurled my way, like usual. (PS Joe, i referenced your post before but I wanted to give you props for a very solid post) |

Why peeps want to do that here on a clusterhead board is beyond me. Having said that, not much can be done about it other than hit the ignore button and not read them. If political posts DOES make you angry or cause your blood pressure to go up, then you need to stay away. Personally, they don't make me angry unless someone makes it personal and goes beyond attacking their party or linked opinions and starts attacking the person. While it has gotten close, so far still within the guidelines. |

Of the 11 Virginia Representative to the 111th Congress, 6 are uber liberal Democrats and 5 are Republican... Moreover, all 5 of Virginia's Republicans in the 111th Congress voted AGAINST the porkulus legislation... I've sent all of them letters, faxes, and email congratulating them on being great Americans and for being responsible and principled elected representatives from the Commonwealth of Virginia. All five advised uber liberal Governor Kaine of Virginia to refuse the porkulus funding as being little more than a socialist trap. Superhawk,
Understand... I've screwed the pooch a few times by not using my cheaters and misreading something... That's why I supersize the fonts. I agree, the massive overspending problems we face aren't just caused by one party or the other... Members of both parties are responsible... I realize it was too easy to suffer from Bush derangement syndrome and blame bush for all the overspending but the simple fact is it's Congress and specifically the House that writes appropriation bills... Not the President or the Senate... They can be co-conspirators and frequently are. Nonetheless, it's the House that starts the ball rolling on overspending and they all too frequently plus up the President's budget request. Unfortunately too many in Congress have lost their way. They've become power hungry... Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely... As they've forgotten who they work for they need to be voted out of office at the first opportunity... and the folks we elect to fill their seats need to be sent to Congress with the mission to establish term limits... Two terms is more than enough! I think we need to target all that voted in favor of the porkulus without first reading it and then we go after any that are left that voted for the omnibus year end funding bill with billions of dollars in earmarks. After that if there are any left, we go over their voting records to see how many have been lining their pockets at the voter's expense with personalized legislation that favors their own financial holdings... If you want a good example, check out princess Pelosi's handling of the minimum wage with respect to DelMonte, Sarkist Tuna, and American Samoa... Very interesting reading...
