Wow!  Even Simon was awe struck.

Ok Jackie.......who is Susan? Is she a clusterhead?

saw it on MSN news online.

What was more amazing was Simon Cow(balls) reactions to her.  I really got a kick out seeing his face light up and eyes nearly pop out of his head.

He actually has a nice smile.  Pity it's so rare anyone sees it.

She is F'NING AMAZING!!!

Now all she needs is a day with a beautician, to let her inner beauty be reflected on her face, and she will be a super star!

After watching the version that you posted, Jackie, I watched this one, with more commentary before and after:

omg.. it almost seemed as if the sound was coming from somewhere else!!

I don't know what's wrong with me but I think the song lyrics, her voice and "backstory" rolled together just had me crying.

Thanks Jackie, that was a gem, I'm glad she made the judges drop their jaws. It's NEVER too late :)

I saw/heard it this morning.  Her voice is absolutely amazing.  It was equally amazing to see Simon with a rapt expression on his face.

Stupendous!  The old adage "You can't judge a book by its cover" was never borne out more than here.  As much as I enjoyed Paul Potts I think she may have surpassed him.

It's obvious she's moved millions of us...  and provided a rapid cure for dry eye in the process...   A quick bit of addition indicates well over 20 million hits on the You Tube posts of her performance since the first one went up on 11 April.  She may be off to a new record in total hits in the first week in this category.

Joyce and I cycled through at least a dozen other artists performing "I dreamed a dream" including Randy Graff from the original cast of Les Miserables that swept the Tony Awards in 1987...  Both of us agreed Susan Boyle's performance was the best... on several counts...

My son Ryan, a Doctoral of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting candidate at Michigan State University, also rated her vocal as top notch technically...  and a delightful pleasure to hear.

Saw her interviewed on NBC's morning show this AM.  She's a woman of few words and knows what she's about.

When asked what she'd be singing in her next appearence she answered "well now you'll just have to watch and find out".  Priceless!!!

Also revealed in the interview was that she's had professional training.  No surprise there.  The woman has an amazing voice.

Batch,
I have to disagree with you on something.  Radny Graff is not a member of the original cast of Les Miserable.  She is in the original cast of the US version (1987).  Patti Lupone played the role of Fantine with the Royal Shakespeare Company in London in 1985.  The French version was released in 1980.

Anyway, Patti Lupone was very impressed with this lady.  It seems that her future is set now.

WOW!!!  Not a bad note in that one either.

The woman has turned into a sensation!!

I can't believe that voice wasn't discovered years ago.

Patti Lupone - one of my absolute faves.

If anyone listens to the Evita soundtrack with Madonna, please get a copy of the Broadway soundtrack with Ms. Lupone and Mandy Patankin. The two of them together are magic. Then you can put your Madonna disc where it belongs - on the shelf with all the other Madonna stuff.
