I'm not usually vocal about being a survivor of Domestic Violence. However, when a piece like this wins the prestigious Dart Award for investigative Journalism I thought..ehhh I'll read it.
It deserves the award and is very well put together. I know this may not be of interest to everyone, but it may be to some.
And yes it is from a paper from the company I was laid off from, but that doesn't detract from the quality work the Journalists who put this together have accomplished.

Judges also hailed The Honolulu Advertiser for its significant allocation of resources and unwavering commitment to this issue.
