Title: ebay
Post by Val_ on Apr 18th, 2009 at 11:58am
SO - I've Decided
I'm looking for a hypothalamus on ebay.  If anyone sees one...    ;D  ;D let me know!

They can do heart transplants, so why not?   :P

I asked my chiro for a spine transplant once a long time ago and he laughed at me.  I'd ask my neuro for a new hippo but he skipped town just after I got sick - prolly because of his med directions (at his admittance indirectly) and ended up in the ER.   >:(  So they throw anti-nausea meds and pain meds at me and tell me to get the h3ll out.

SO this is my New and Improved hope - hippo transplant!  YEAH!!!   8-)  Let me know if you know of any healthy donors  :D

I know there is an indirect link between clusters & the hippo... I've read it on several sites.  From START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE "What has  been established is that cluster headaches sufferers have a deformed hypothalamus. The hypothalamus is the part of the brain known to act as the body clock. It also controls the excretion of certain chemical messengers from glands."  and from Cleveland Clinic's site, START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE"Cluster headaches appear to be generated by the hypothalamus (the part of the brain that is home to the suprachiasmatic nucleus or circadian clock). Recent imaging studies have shown activation or stimulation of the hypothalamus during a cluster attack."

I want a new one - try it out - don't even care if I end up living on the 'clock' of a different time zone from across the pond!   :-?  BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

(found a hippo that might be suitable if i get desperate enough... suspect looking critter tho)

I'd offer you mine ... But I don't think you would want it ...  It is pretty well used, abused and screwed up ...

Ah well ...

Then of course there is always the cross species route to look at ...  Do guinea pigs have hypo's?

Let us know how the transplant works out ...

(Maybe you could find one not TOO fucked up, on Craig's list?)

Chuck
