Title: UFO cover up says Apollo man Post by cavalier on Apr 22nd, 2009 at 6:58pm
Just aside,
Great!! professor Hawkins getting better but his theories!! Well they’ve got a few Big holes in them don’t you think. A former NASA Astronaut (Edgar Mitchell) claims the U.S government continues to cover up the existence of alien life. He claims “mankind has long wondered if we are alone”, “Were not “apparently Come on Obama show us your files and I’ll show you mine. “That’s something I remember from my youth” albeit fumbling in the undergrowth of adolescence with just as an inexperienced or so they made out experienced fumbler of Extra sexual life. Don’t you just wish you were in that state of abandonment as you were then? Just a single thing pointing you in a direction which you were going and not a care in the world to worry about where it was taking you to. We’re as bad as the youth of today but without the benefits. Anyway UFO’s (under ripe fermenting onions), the soup dragon may have a lot to say about this.. R.I.P Oliver Postgate I loved Noggin of the Nogs. The red planet has similar properties to the onion and “so they say” derives its name from the Apollo crew cooking up a mean Spaghetti Bolognese. You do know overeating occasionally causes a dream like state where you nod off at the wheel. I’ve heard and read lots of things about the UFO phenomena but unfortunately never seen or heard anything myself. If I showed them mine do you think they’d show me theirs! |

We have humongous egos if we think we're all alone in the universe. :P

Damn Beth, you actually found something in his extra-terrestrial discourse to respond to?
Good job. :) I couldn't figure it out. :) |

I can understand "The Prime Directive" and all that but to travel so far and not stop in and say hello is ridiculous. What a grand waste of space if we were the only.
I don't know if this is a proper response. Oh well...food for thought? I really don't know. Steve G |

Whoever and wherever they might be, I think it's safe to assume that they're probably just as goofy in their own way as we are in ours. ;)

COOL!!
But you know, the government will just make it appear that he's senile and even have some doctor(s) verify it. ::) |

I don't like your opinion, LOL. How do we know unless we've had direct contact? And if we haven't had contact, but still think the possibility is there, is that cause for saying we have a humongous ego?? :-? |

I know, I have a humongous ego. [smiley=grin2.gif] |
Title: Re: UFO cover up says Apollo man Post by Brew on Apr 23rd, 2009 at 9:59am
All I'm saying is that some people come down squarely on one side or the other of the issue - there is extraterrestrial life or there isn't. I believe that it's arrogant to say either. But to say we don't yet know beyond the shadow of a doubt is the prudent, human answer that is open to possibility. And also the reason to keep looking and studying.
Once you know the answer to something, does it make sense to keep looking for it? Kind of like finding your keys when you've misplaced them. Knowing and believing are two very different things. And I DO like your opinion. LOL. ;) |

Title: Re: UFO cover up says Apollo man Post by Brew on Apr 23rd, 2009 at 10:18am
I could say one of three things:
a) Prove it. b) You may know, but I don't. c) You're full of shit. I would never say "c" because that's just not me. It's rude and I can't prove you're full of shit, so I'd never say it. I might say "a," but that's also kind of rude. I'd most likely say "b," then ask you to relate your story. I, too, am curious. But if this was the case (that you KNOW E.T. exists), do you then feel any need to continue looking? (Can you tell one of my degrees is in philosophy?) |

Title: Re: UFO cover up says Apollo man Post by Brew on Apr 23rd, 2009 at 10:53am
Here's where I stand on the issue. I have yet to see any convincing evidence that life from other corners of the universe exists, but I am very open to the possibility. There is some pretty eye-opening circumstantial evidence that exists. But there are a good number of crackpots with tin foil covered paper plates and grainy video cameras that don't do the research any favors.
All things are possible, but eyewitness accounts do not provide substantiation. Nonetheless, I love to hear them. |

:o Like I said, there's no way I can say no, they don't exist. I would need just as much proof of that as I would require of their existence. I'm an agnostic in the church of E.T. |

All I know is one night as a teenager I was in La Crosse WI with my Mother and 5 girlfriends. We were outside at night in the ShopKO parking lot. There were about 20 people outside with us in that parking lot. We all saw a UFO. It was very low. Like right above the tree lines. It was as big as the parking lot. It just stayed stationary above us. A low hum sound but not like a plane, or helicopter. It had white and red lights comming out of it onto the parking lot. I screemed yo take me take me. My Mother grabed me tightly and put her hand over my mouth and told me to shut up. It then moved slightly where you could see a light revolve around the disk shapped ship. Then in a second it was gone. There were several sightings reported into the police station and radio station that night. Lots of people saw it. It was definetly not from this world. They had no explnation for what it was. As for me I believe. That is my story and Im sticking to it. Now laugh all you want but until you see it with your own eyes I dont expect you to believe. I didn't.

Steve, stop and think about that for a minute.... You travel all across the universe searching out signs of other life. Then you come across this blue planet in the milky way and move in for a closer look. As you skim the pacific ocean, you come upon a cost where you see alien beings slathering each other in oils and various other lotions and then baking themselves on the sand, (classic clam bake), as you move inland you see these strange beings boiling themselves in huge pots in their backyards, (hot tubs) then to top it all off, they are hurling tons of metal at each other at ridiculous speeds with nothing but a yellow line between them to tell them not to crash their tons of metal..... Would you stop in and say hello? ;) Cat |

I never fit the mold of "normal" and would never Want to! Some people think THIS is Alien! Many people do say aliens either exist or do not... why not entertain the thought that in this crazy world ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!! :D |

In 1981 while working at a local Airport near Detroit mi. It was a slow night so I was giving my Fiance and her cousin a tour of the field, in a co. van used to escort aircraft to parking.
The night was partly cloudy and the Moon was out. Suddenly the southeast half of the sky lit up in a strange pale blue above the clouds. I stopped the van and looked up. Above us I could see a straight line of some huge object moving quickly. I couldn't see the end of this object. There was no wind but suddenly the clouds were following this object, and fluttering as they went. Like a magnetic distubance I thought. My passengers saw it too. I drove back to my office which was in the same bulding as the control tower, and called the controller. "Did you see that? He said, yes, I asked, what the hell was that??, I don't know but Metro (Detroits main airport) is on the line, I'll call you back." The contoller called back and said, "Metro called me to ask if I could identify that, they thought something exploded over their airspace. In my 20 years in the tower I've never seen anything like that." Metro is 10 miles east of us. A good friend of mine happened to be on his way home from about 35 miles west and saw this object. "It scared me so bad I pulled off the road, it was huge and rectangle shaped and moving east fast. A Delta airliner 100 miles south reported a meteor. But in those days reporting a UFO was a no no. I don't know what it was but it was unusual to say the least. I just had to tell the story, strange but true. Don |

I must admit after an experience that occurred to me once, it seems we can’t all be wrong.
Don’t know if it was the cheese sandwich with pickle I had before retiring to bed but all I know is that I awoke sometime early morning feeling pretty thirsty and got up. Standing in the pitch dark in my birthday suit “not a pretty site” felt the urge to look out of the window, there was a light emanating from the farmers field just down the road past a small cottage which appeared strangely lit. It took me a while to focus; I could just make out these figures in the field and they appeared to be moving in a sort of symmetrical almost geometric pattern. Had to go if you know what I mean, needed to point Percy at the porcelain. When I returned and looked it was dark and still so I went back to bed. Later that day there was a buzz in the village it seems earlier that night strange crop circles appeared, didn’t have the heart to tell them it was some blokes with a plank of wood and a bit off rope. If the real things coming to town I’ll let you know! |
