I suggest you look into the headache / neurology clinic at UTMB Galveston.

It's currently at Friendswood, the doctors there are superb. (And I say this as someone who used to HATE going to their neurology clinics... They've changed a HELL of a lot in the past few years!)

That's the web address for the hospital. I honestly can't say enough about how much they've helped me. It shouldn't be much of a problem with your insurance (and if you don't have any, the hospital has programs for that, too.)

LOCATING HEADACHE SPECIALIST

1. Search the OUCH site (button on left) for a list of recommended M.D.s.

2. Yellow Pages phone book: look for "Headache Clinics" in the M.D. section and look under "neurologist" where some docs will list speciality areas of practice.

3.  Call your hospital/medical center. They often have an office to assist in finding a physician. You may have to ask for the social worker/patient advocate.

This is the best method I know of to find such a physician.

I had good results with Dr. Lynn in Sugar Land. He will prescibe O2 without hesitation.
