Welcome to the board, the little prick never seems to lose our addresses..sadly :'(...do you have an effective treatment program that's working for you? Oxygen? Let us know what you use and how you use it, maybe we can make some suggestions to bring back to your doc!

Hey Joe hope your pain free.  After 28 years of letting docs try and screw me up with their meds.  I exercise alot I have gotten to the point where I do some meditation / yoga while sitting inside my closet that I made sound proof because sound makes azzhead (headache) intensify greatly along with any light.  I also will chew excedrin migraine 2 tabs really fast and drink an energy drink with taurine down at room temp. only.  I only do this when I get the 9 or 10.  I have built a strong tolerance for pain at least for an 8.  Sorry I cant privide more.  Oh yeah what ever you do no alcohol and illegal drugs will make you wish you were dead.  Azzhead don't like drugs and alcohol.  O2 does not help me anymore. :'(

How are you doing the O2? We've found fairly recently that the high flow rate (25liters) works a lot better than what the docs were/are prescribing a couple of years ago. And the mask is really important. Read the oxygen info on the left. It might be worth another try. since I went to the high flow I can kill the beast in a few minutes now without the meds I used to take with the O2.

Too much excedrin will cause rebound headaches, so watch it there.

Melatonin at night has done a lot for me (had to try it three times before I stuck with it and it finally started working, but it works great now) to kill the night hits. I take 15-20mg before bedtime and sleep like a baby most of the time. Gives me the energy to fight the demon in the daylight.

Hi Barbara,  Thanks for the info I'll will definately try the the new mask I was just looking at them last night matter of fact. I remember when I was taking amitryptaline (elavil) it helped me sleep, but it would keep me run down the next day I had to use 2 alarm clocks in the morning.  I absolutely hate taking meds, so trying the 02 again with the bigger mask may be the answer thx.

Lordy, when I took the elavil, I couldn't even wake up the next day...

Try the melatonin... We all have a different reaction to meds. And what works for one of us doesn't necessarily work for the next one. Most everything knocks me on my rear or depresses the heck out of me, yet topamax doesn't bother me (and about "most" of the people who've tried it - it does a number on - go figure).

Each of us have to figure out (trial and error) what works for us. But the O2 seems to be the ONE thing that helps the biggest part of us if used properly.

Don't hesitate to ask questions about the usage of it.. We've got a couple of guys here who are "experts" on how to... Chuck and Batch and they're here to help.

Thanks again Barbara.  Elavil was the devil huh.  I hated them, I have taken so much crap since 1983 from the military docs and some of the specialist.  The last time I saw a doctor was like 2000, the first thing he wanted to do was prescribe I just got up and walked out the door.  I have been doing my own thing for a while, but thats not even to effective anymore I made an appt to try and get some O2.  Its clean and safe, I have high blood press. so i'm limited to the meds that I can take.

Hi Coach certainly feel sorry for you.  I hope that lil azzhead leaves you alone.

Dana....print out the info on 02 and take it with you to the doc. They're a little more comfy prescribing it with the literature to back it up. Hope it's the miracle for you it has been for me! [smiley=hug.gif]
