Title: Body tempreture Post by MattyAA on May 2nd, 2009 at 11:52am
Has anyone noticed also or could check their body tempreture over the day's course?
I noticed I am having high body tempeture often almost as high as if I had fever, though I feel fine and I checked it with many termometres so it is not fault of it. |

Matty,
Speaking for myself, during a hit, my body temperature will dramatically rise to where it does feel like I'm running a high fever. Once the hit ends, my temp drops like a rock to the point where I'm freezing cold, shivering, and I have to cover up in a warm blanket. I think the rise and fall of temp is fairly common with CH, but would ask others to speak for themselves. Sandy |

I know when I get hit during sleep, when I wake up in pain, I am always already sweaty, as if my body temp raises during that time, and the rise in temp helps to kick up the beast. I know our temp must be up there for us to be able to stand sticking our heads in freezers, ice bags, cold water etc, without developeing hypothermia. I dont know about everyone else, but any other time, all that ice and cold air would make me feel cold, but I never get cold during a hit.
something to think about though huh? chrisw 8-) 8-) |

I meant using termometr when not being hit and see how your temreture behaves, I wonder since I noticed I have very big tempreture over the normal one.
But I feel normal despite that. |

i experience the same thing with the being really hot during the hit and then freezing after it is over. i now have gotten to the point of staying cold all day even thought the outside temp has been 85+. most folks thought the change in body temperature was caused by the hypathalamus malfunctioning. just thought i's tell you i have the same ride as you. i haven't check to see if i have a fever but i will. that is interesting.

To answer the question you asked, when I am not getting hit, my body temperature is normal.
As others have said, once I am getting hit, my temperature skyrockets. If you have watched the clip of me getting hit on YouTube, you see Luke holding me, to keep me from banging my head, or pulling my hair. He told me that when I am getting hit, I get so hot, it is almost painful for him to touch me. We have never taken my temperature, when getting hit, but I do know it shoots way up there, but always returns to normal, when not getting hit. Chuck |

Well I just ask around because I noticed even between attacks of headaches I for example (in european scale of celciuss) I get 37 or 37+ which is fever like tempreture of body (Normal body tempreture for human in celciuss is 36,6)
And in the morning I get 35,7 which normally people would feel very weak and ill with it. That is weird since body tempreture is regulated by hypothalamus, also there is thread mentioning abnormal hormone levels, and hypothalamus connects nerve system to endocrinological system (hormone one), hmm... |
