I actually joined this board about 10 or so years ago, but have no idea what my login was back then, plus I didn't post much anyway.

I've had CPH since the age of 5, so that's been 34 years.  Headaches started episodic, then turned chronic in my early teens...probably around onset of menstruation.  Indocin, and only Indocin, works very well for me and I've been taking it for about 20 years.  I'm becoming concerned about my liver...not having any health problems, just know that daily use of Indocin can't be good for me.  

A year ago my oldest son, age 5 now, was diagnosed with autism and after some biomedical testing for him, we've discovered that his neurotransmitters are way off and his heavy metal load is way high.  I had my own heavy metals tested and found that my arsenic and lead levels are high.  I'm considering having my own neurotransmitters tested because I read that chronic headaches can be caused by a neurotransmitter imbalance.

Hi Kristy,

CPH is very similar to CH's in many regards but the method of treatments can differ significantly. Unfortunately oxygen and lithium treatment offer CPH sufferers no relief if my research is correct. I do believe Verapamil Monotherapy offers relief maybe an alternative or I'm sure this is something that you have already discussed with your doc.

It has been noted that children with autism do appear to have more serotonin in their bodies than children without diagnosis.There has been a number of threads in relation to serotonin on this forum and how it also affects the rate at which hormones are released and has something to do with tissue inflammation.It has been discussed how these neurotransmitters may indeed play a part in CH's .Please take time to read the posts and especially the older ones as you may something you find relevant to your condition.
