Title: Trying not to hit the Panic Button..... Post by lashultzwfe on May 4th, 2009 at 6:49am
Milton High School called off school, at least today and tomorrow, "probable" Swine Flu case. As most of you know, we have a 16 year old son (Matt), that attends the school. Will just have to keep an eye on him, this is a little scarey when it hits this close to home....

Just remember, this flu is no worse than the flu that comes around every fall. If your son should show any signs of illness, call your doctor and follow their lead. This flu responds well to Tamiflu.

Which is why I totally don't understand the WHO taking this thing to level 6 pandemic (I heard this mentioned on the news today). From what are we being distracted? (Maybe it's just me - my mind works this way) |

Yep, Diane....a Mom's worries are NEVER done.
Just keep your eyes peeled and if he shows any symptoms get him to the doc. Delta told it like it is. The news media tries to scare us to death. Love to you all.... Jackie |

Thanks everyone for your kind words and everything. It would appear all is going to work out. We just received a phonecall that school will reopen on Wednesday (if nothing else comes up). The student that is 95% probable swine flu, has evidently been out of school since last Tuesday. Matt doesn't show any signs of flu yet, and is getting sick of me asking him how he is feeling, or putting my hand on his forehead to see if he has a fever, (ha, ha).
Thanks, again. |

Brew,
Don't you know? You can't cite Fox News these days. It's not accepted anymore. C'mon. :P -Shawn |

Okay, let me rephrase that: Margaret Chan, director of the World Health Organization, indicated in an interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais that the organization would likely raise its alert for the H1N1 swine flu outbreak to the highest level and declare a pandemic. Yep, if it comes from Fox, it must be a lie. :P |

CNN, FOX, MSNBC ET AL, if it comes from one of the talking heads it may not be an out right lie. But it is certainly suspect. They still think Hackers write Viriie and break into the Pentagon, and banks and things. Bunch of dopes.
