Title: Newbie Question for the Guys (Really for the Guys)
Post by Inventive_Mind on May 10th, 2009 at 5:38am
Here we go,

I have been a suffer for 8 years and this attack period has been different. But the weirdest thing that has been happening during bad attacks 7+ is I get an erection. So far on every big attack this has happened. (No Joke Guys Really :-[) . I have also started testostorne treatments but it doesn't affect me like this at other times. During my research I found a article that stated if you have an orgasm during an attack it will abort the attack due to the surge of chemicals to the Hypothalamus.

Funny out take," I talked to my wife about this and she was willing to try it, but my next attack was a kip9, so I was battling and started laughing then screaming then laughing. We didn't try the sex thing but after she asked why I was laughing, I was imagining trying to have sex while going through the contortions of a kip 9 and I had to laugh

Anyway back to my dilemma, I was wondering if any of you have tried the sex thing and also is the erection a normal CH side affect. I could not find anything about it. I'm trying to connect as many dots as I can to battle this thing so I'm throwing it all out here in hope of finding something.

Thank you,

~James

P.S. If you don't feel comfortable posting, please send me an e-mail, thanks

A very interesting "problem"  !!! LOL!

BUT, in all seriousness, NO, is my answer!  But then again, during a major hit, it could fall off, and I would not be aware of it.

There have been one or two that have stated, in the past, that an orgasm, during the early parts of a hit, works as an abortive.  Unfortunately, I am at the other end of the scale.  An orgasm is a trigger for me.  But then again, that is so typical of the beast:  What works as an abortive for one, is a trigger for another.

BUT, purely in the interests of science, I regularly test the orgasm as a trigger concept, JUST to see if it still is.  To this date, it still is, but I will continue my scientific research into this dilemma.

That is the LAST thing on my mind when I get hit.  In fact, when I'm in high cycle I might as well be a eunuch.  Wish I could share your problem! :)

Maybe that stiffy is preventing your attack from being bigger than it would be, blood diversion and all that.

Just a thought....

Personally, I'm like Jerry. Furthest thing from my mind. And if I started sporting wood at the higher ends of the Kip scale, I might just curse God for it.

Not really.

There were several people who have posted that masturbating early enough in an attack would abort a hit. Before the days of 02, I'd get almost a panic attack when I felt one coming on so sex was never an option. Don't recall a relation to an erection with an attack for me. And bless you Chuck for all the unselfish research you continue conducting on our behalf! ;)

Here's how I would connect the dots:

When people are executed by hanging, the victim usually has an orgasm - the term 'release of inhibition' describes what happens when the brain no longer communicates with the nether region.  I suspect that something similar might be going on here ... pain in the head and neck and the hypothalamic disturbances might be reducing the normal flow of nerve signals, which means the "heel, boy!" command to your dog is weaker and gets ignored... the mutt does whatever he wants, which usually means hunting birds (or practicing his pointing, even in the absence of game).

As to whether you could generate enough good vibrations below to get your hypothalamus to sing a new tune ... I dunno, maybe. Just have to try it. I think it might work for some, but that method would have become popular here if it was widely effective. But worth a try in the name of science.   I usually get hit while asleep, and by the time I wake up, am pretty occupied with the pain - I don't think I could handle it under those conditions. But that is just me.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the input, I did try this to some extent but not the result I was hoping for :-/

I had a normal hit a KIP 6/7 and I got aroused as usual, so i decided to try masturbation just to see if this would work. It did but didn't when I got to the point my pain subsided to a KIP 2 then about 2 minutes after I was done the pain came back with a vengeance. I went from KIP 2 to 8 in about 5 seconds and it lasted a good 30 to 40 minutes. I noticed I did not get aroused the 2nd time.

So my thoughts are that the chemical rush that is released with a orgasm will stop the pain. Then as the brain chemistry stabilizes again its back to whatever state it was in to begin with. So at least I know for me there is a combination of brain chemicals that will stop the CH's but what those are, well thats beyond me at this point.

I know this is a weird tract and I feel embarrassed just writing about it. So thanks again for your help and if you find or think of anything else please let me know.

Can't help you there. I've been through so much shit the last couple years, sex is the last thing on my mind. And anyway, how in the world could a major hit bring on an erection! The pain alone would keep me from being aroused. And even if sex could stop one, how in the hell could you even function sexually in the middle of the beast decapitating your head (and I don't mean the erect one). But if you can do it and it helps, more power to you.
Unfortunately, the beast came back just when I got a quack doctor in a shit system, so I'm riding these out with nothing because a.) she doesn't know shit about CHs and wants me to make an appointment before she'll prescribe anything (which takes over a week or so anyway), and b.) the bitch decided to go on vacation so I can't get anything for a while anyway. Believe me, riding this out with nothing, if orgasm stopped them and I could sit still long enough, I'd have 6 jars of vasoline strategically placed throughout the house and would never leave!!
Good luck!

Hi ocnprl,

Like I said when my wife and I agreed to it and I got a major hit I was laughing at the absurdity of it. But I did manage on a lower hit to masturbate not have sex I still don't see how that could happen. As for why I get erections that's why I started this thread because I didn't know and through researching it I ran across the orgasm thing. For now Ill stick to O2 and keep searching.
