I'm up to 500 mg a day, in hopes of evading a pending cycle.  Out of cycle, I normally take 250 mg a day.

Jury's still out on whether or not it will work.

It's best to take a calcium supplement in conjunction with magnesium--my understanding is that magnesium leeches calcium from the system.  That may or may not be accurate.

Best,

George

G’day Zeek

I’m chronic & have been on 500mg Magnesium & 500mg calcium supplements for about 3 years & they appear to be working for me.

I also randomly take 400mg Zink & Taurine when the shadows are ramping up a little & that with the mag & calc settles things “fingers crossed”.

I’m currently 292 days PF & 5 days short of my best PF run since going chronic.

As George says you will need to take the Calcium as well as Magnesium is a calcium blocker, if you don’t you will end up with muscle & joint pain much like arthritis?

Good Luck
Cheers
Barry

I've been on a daily supplement of magnesium, calcium and Vitamin B-2 for about 10 years now, at my neuro's suggestion. I'm convinced it's had a positive effect on my CH and have seen others posting similar results.
