Look in to the e-cigarette. If you want to quit that is. I think it will be the reason I will stay a quitter. |

Both...? Balls.
Best to you two to maintain. Throw daily cig money into a jar. Wait a year and apply vacation ointment. Steve G |

I'm so glad to hear it! Two of my favorite people are going to be around longer! (Unless you get hit by a bus or something stupid like that! ;D)
Give Thomas a big hug for me! Miss having him around here more. Jerry |

Thanks everybody 8-)
Day 2 1/2 still going strong, But Thomas will be going to work tonight and I will be alone in the house that will be the test. I get nerves when he is not here and when I get nerves I smoke. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. Thomas has insensitive his work will pay $400 for him to quite :P Gena |
Title: Re: I am such a quitter Post by Jeannie on May 13th, 2009 at 1:35pm
You can do this, Gena. Replace smoking with something else ( not eating.) Find something you like to do... go for a walk.... turn on some music and dance... be silly. Pick up a pencil and doodle! Exercise or read.
I believe in you! Jeannie |

Good luck to the both of you! I've never smoked (a true saint I am ;) ), but I do know it takes a lot of strength to quit smoking. So I'm wishing you both lots and lots of strength to keep it up.

Title: Re: I am such a quitter Post by Kilroy 2.0 on May 13th, 2009 at 5:54pm
My reason for quitting:
- My house smells like smoke - Walls in my house are stained - My car smells like smoke - My clothes smell, are stained from hanging in the closet & have burn holes in them. - Tired of worrying about where I am going and weather or not I can smoke there. (ie Hotels, restaurant, bars etc...) Some where way down the list is Health ::) Gena |

Title: Re: I am such a quitter Post by Kate in Oz on May 13th, 2009 at 8:14pm
Good on you! I wish you both all the very best. It isn't easy (I'm on day 30 without) but it sure is worth it!
If it helps, think the next cigy you have will cost you upwards of $20,000 - it only takes one to get hooked again. Also, I swear by Allen Carr's Easy Way. GOOD LUCK! Kate |
Title: Re: I am such a quitter Post by barry_sword on May 13th, 2009 at 8:46pm
Angie and I both have read Allen Carr's book and I am 3-1/2 years smoke free and Angie will be 13 weeks Monday.
Congrats to all you quitters, keep the fight! |

I have a special appreciation for Kent's "micronite filter" which contained asbestos. Talk about a double whammy!!
It takes 3 days to get the poison out of your system. From that day on you're getting healthier. Stay committed!!! and good luck. |

One of these days, you'll notice that you missed an automatic cigarette. Then you know you're on the way.
