We have always had talented people here.  Some start a side business  with home-made itemsand I applaude them 100%

I didn't even know she had a store, but I'm a 2x satisfied customer!

Fast shipping and beautiful work.

Excellent idea Linda, if this post can help generate some income for the talented guys and gals of this site then all the better. :)

Mel I would be very interested in the Stained Glass Dragonfly because that is one cool piece of arts and crafts.. Would you consider P&P to Ireland.

Lefty...!

Melly,

I LOVE etsy! I'm very jealous. I'd love to be talented at something and be able to sell it too.

Lefty, check your messages.

Everyone else, thanks!

I did not know Linda was going to post about my store much less start a thread, so I'm a bit caught off guard.  When it comes to my friends, I tend not to push my work because I figure if they like it, they'll ask me about it or just click on the link in my siggy (which is where Linda got it from).

Anyway, I've been doing stained glass commissions recently, all sun catchers.  2 hummingbirds, a butterfly and a cardinal and I'm currently working on some wedding bells to give as a gift to my brother-in-law Mike and his wife since they got married over the winter in Albania and will be flying in this Friday from CA!! (along with my brother-in-law Matt who was the one in Iraq) :) :) :)

Nice stuff Mel! I like them there bugs....

Your stuff sure beats the green German helmet suncatchers sold by one lunatic couple at gun shows....I kid you not.

Hey Mel, do you do custom orders?  Possibly very complex ones?

My Mom and I have a sort of special connection with rainbows - when I was a teen, we were driving through town and there was this stunningly brilliant TRIPLE rainbow.  I called the local florist (who is like another brother to me) and had him make a flower arrangement in a rainbow for Mom when she was sick.

Any chance you'd be able to do something in the way of a rainbow design? possibly even a triple rainbow??

Let me know if you are interested in doing something custom like that, I'm sure it would be a huge amount of work, so let me know if you are interested.

Cat

You do customs?  Really?  Cool.

My daughter is a giraffe freak... let me know if you can think of anything to do that is giraffe'y.

Time is no issue... whenever you can get to it.

If you feel like getting freaky complex with it... no problem... name your price.  Chances are I will say 'cool... do it'.

Thx Mel.

I was giving her an easy out in case she has giraffobia.  Some folks are terrified of them.

Actually I've been brainstorming since I read this about 30 min. ago.  I do have a couple ideas being tossed around in my deformed brain. :)

Umm, Cat's got an idea. borne, perhaps out of the German Helmet suncatchers Charlie mentioned (a course, he's a deranged sicko anywhoo, that ole Charlie!)
We could ALL have a daily rainbow, Mel! Something diffused? to fit in a window, not the usual hokey lil hangie-thingers, but something substantial!
Mel, Pat?
cathi :D

Um, Cathi?  I wouldn't exactly call my suncatchers "hokey". :-/

As for glass on glass mosaic windows, Pat does beautiful ones. :)
