I didn't expect to find all this about you Aussies but I guess a lot of this info got out thanks to you and it certainly applies to the rest of us saps. Makes my blood boil... >:(
Anyway, I got into this stuff because I've been reading what a horror show our health care system has become and read about call center colleges in Bangelore and elsewhere. Often when we call for clinical help or help from a lot of medical related systems, we're screwed. I realize this was big but call center college takes it to a new level for me.
Some workers keep up with daily news and even weather forecasts to sound more American, Australian, Canadian or British. It turns out that a ton of your medical records are open to these places and workers that have learned how to make us feel good about being bounced around different areas when you ask for help. Most of your medical questions are answered by people with no medical training. When they get stuck, there are always a few medical types working there for the hard stuff.
