Title: Switching Sides
Post by BenjaminThurber on Jun 4th, 2009 at 5:48pm
Hello,

I was expecting my CH period to happen, but something else occurred, and I was wondering if it's common.

I have always had the attack on the left side, but, this time, I had a sharp beginning on the right side, and the left is only shadowing itself.back on the left side.

Is it possible for them to switch sides without any warning?

Hi Benjamin,

yes, switching sides is possible but it isn't common.

And, it does not appear to have any clinical implications.

According to a CH specialist that I spoke to, during one of my trips to Norway, he said it is actually much more common than most people believe.

Sometimes it is a permanent switch, and other times, it is just for that one cycle, and other times, it hits on either side, with no warning as to which side your next hit will be on.  I am in that last group.

Basically it is the beast, messing with your mind.  Evidently, the beast felt that you were too complacent with the hits on your left side, so he decided to throw that curve ball at you.

The beast likes to keep us on our toes.

Mine started on thr right side and went to the left side and now it just switch hits but my shadow stays on the right side.  Maybe he lives on the right side but goes shopping or visiting on the left side.
