Okay, I recorded this song quite awhile back, but right now only have the demo version done, as I have to change a couple of lines in the lyrics and re-do the vocals completely, as they sound way too shallow.
The only thing that has stopped me from doing music the past 6 years is simply not having the gear to do it with. My old computer couldn't hold the software, not to mention it has taken a long time to try and gather the equipment needed to pull off a real recording.
Those of you whom I told about it at LouCon in January and saw how excited I was... well, this is why. I chose this to be the first song under my new recording moniker: "Dead Cowboy Rebellion"
The only place I could put it where it is listenable to most here is on the myspace page, since putfile doesn't like me anymore and deletes what I own copyright to!
This is the first song I got to use my new E-Bow on as well (electronic bow) and is the best recording quality I have ever had so far. Also, the guitar solo was done with a 'whammy' pedal allowing me to shift in and out of octaves and while it was somewhat tricky, I impressed myself with the solo. However, future recordings will sound much better than this since this recording is a few months old, and I have been working on the sound. Next month I will have REAL studio monitors that will give me a much more accurate representation of the final mix.
Just go to the myspace page and if it doesn't autoplay after a few minutes, try refreshing or hitting 'play' on the player. Even if it isn't your style, it's worth a listen.

I'll put the lyrics here, but the one that is definitely being changed for the re-recording is "One more cluster headache and I might be dead" to "might drive me mad" - for personal reasons. I also plan to sing it a bit more agressive since this was basically the test tracking.
