.....and ended up in Wisconsin. :o

After playing United Airlines two most favorite games of "Where is my aircraft?" and the always fun "WTF did you do with my baggage?" followed by Thrifty Rent-a-car's version of "We close early so you can't get your rental" I somehow found my way to a race track just south of Madison......

...Clusterheads and supporters selling 50/50 raffle tickets for OUCH and watching the happenings on the track.

Teresa did well........after a slight problem in her heat she finished the feature on the lead lap. All the pinks shirts were very proud! I'll leave the narrative for her to post later.

I'm hearing rumors of a feast to be held tomorrow........I'll post pics......perhaps as it happens. ;)

Yeah!!! She did good!! I'm so proud of our Teresa!!

Don't buy any Cheese, Bey-yull - we've got a hearty assortment waiting for you along with other Wisconsin goodies. Bring a coat - it's supposed to hit a balmy 70 degrees.

Can't wait til I get to see you all again!!

Go Teresa! Jasper is dead excited about meeting you so please - can he have a pic of you and your car etc? I'll never hear the end of it but he would be so excited to take it into school and show off etc!

There are no words for how truly incredible this weekend was.....

Friends from home and clusterhead friends got to meet each other. pssst, Jimi & Ruth - adorable Alex is now walking!!

My daughter saw, once again, the unconditional support of this family - with her racing, and with her "imaginary friend" Harvey.

I was hugged and hugged and hugged yet again (contented sigh....) !

My apartment has one less spider, thanks to Jimi and a roll of paper towels. Most important part of the weekend, of course!

Got to actually SEE ~~babybrew~~, um.... ~~minibrew~~ um.... ~~the artist formerly known as Roy~~, aw hell..... got to see him play on stage!

We missed the shooting at the venue by about 15 minutes!

Only 39 days until I see most of the rest of y'all!!!

How much better can a woman's life get??!!

Brew's band played from 4-5 pm at Locust Street Days yesterday. We dragged Jimi and Ruthie along to watch, and Lizzie and crew also joined us. The band packed up, we walked back to the car, had a short tour of Milwaukee and headed for home. We read the article below when we got home:

Man shot during Locust Street Festival

Jun. 14, 2009 | A 38-year-old man was shot in the right thigh and left hand Sunday evening at the Locust Street Festival in Riverwest, police said.

Investigators were searching for a 17-year-old boy in connection with the shooting, Milwaukee police Lt. Thomas Welch said. Police were trying to identify the suspect, said Welch, who declined to release the boy’s description.

The victim was taken to Froedtert Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, according to a statement from the police department.

The shooting occurred about 6:20 p.m. near E. Locust and N. Weil streets in the midst of the festival.

I escorted Jimi and Ruth to 94-E heading toward Chicago, where I promptly exited at the airport to go to the office. Jimi let me know that they arrived home safe and sound around 6:00 p.m. CDT last night.
