Title: Ch & the new relationship
Post by sandie99 on Jun 15th, 2009 at 3:35am
The last time I begun a new relationship, I told about ch very early on. It scared the hell out of few fellows, few it didn't.

This time around I have been a bit gun shy after my ex's comments about ch playing a part in our break up (although I didn't believe that to be true).

Yesterday I told the new man I've been seeing about ch. I told him what it was, what it means for me, how I cope with it, everything. I ended that talk with words "this is my big secret".

You know what? He didn't freak out. No panic, no leaving the room, no fear in his eyes. He did ask all the right questions and didn't see my ch as a problem. :)

His reaction was a huge relief for me, to be honest! :) I relly like this guy... Although I'm PF at the moment, I wanted to tell him. And, naturally, I did tell him about my clusterfamily. ;)

Yeah this can be tricky.  It's worse to let them discover it.  I wait until you know it's going somewhere and then bring it up much like you did, or let them ask if they see an 02 tank or whatnot.  If the person can't understand or doesn't want to "deal" with it, then it's best to part ways anyway.  I'm glad it worked out well for you.

All the best!  If he is worth while at all it won't matter to him.  If it matters you don't need him no matter how good he seems.  I know I put my wife through a lot, in fact I think it is harder for her than for me, but she has stood by me now for almost 30 yrs of these things.  I hope you do as well as I did.

Good for you, Sweetie....might as well get it all out.
He sounds like a good guy.
I'm happy for you.

Much Love,

I didn't have CH when I met the love of my life. We were 5 when we met.

But one of the things that has made me fall head over heels for her day after day after day is that we've always accepted each other just as we are, warts and all.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm really happy for you, Sanna, but that I can't be of much help.

Thank you, guys! :)

One of my favourite parts about yesterday's date:
Him: What is your favourite energy drink?
and after I told him:
Hmm.. I'd better get few of them just in case.
:)

I'll tell him. ;) I have told him that I love UK and have visited my dear ch friends...  :)

Colin,
the words "real man" are exactly the ones I'd pick to describe him. :)

Dear Sanna:

You deserve a good man.  This one sounds like he's got potential.  I wish you luck and happiness.

Ray
