Title: What type of headache is this? Post by TommieB on Jun 16th, 2009 at 10:26pm
I have had severe, persistent headache for five weeks. It started at the top of my head like a cap of pain, squeezing, pressure, then burning and tingling, and then spread throughout my head. Sometimes it's at the top, or one side or other, or the back, varies in type of pain, and then the burning returns. My ears hurt off and on, and I have intermittent tingling in the right side of my face and lower legs. CT scan was clear, MRI "inconclusive," and now I'm on a waiting list to see a neurologist. Is this related to cluster headaches, or...?

or ...? Not. See the "medical info" on the left menu. IMHO it's tension headache but what does it mean "inconclusive" MRI? See your neuro ASAP. (How long is the waiting list?) PF, Steve |

We are not qualified to Dx and, certainly, based upon a couple of sentences. Even if someone gives you a name of a headache, you won't have any information which you can use and, perhaps, only something which will arouse your anxiety.
I do hope that you are seeing a headache specialist. If you have that option, go for it. We have had too much experience of general neurologists who lack training and experience in working with complex headache disorders. |
