Title: Bob Kipple
Post by ClusterChuck on Jul 11th, 2009 at 12:20pm
Today would have been Bob's 70th birthday.  Although he is no longer with us physically, he is with us in our hearts and minds.  Today should be set aside as Bob Kipple Day.

Bob, you were a great individual and quite an asset to society, and especially us, your fellow clusterheads.  I feel honored to have met you and call you friend.

Happy Birthday, you old fart!

With much love and respect,
Chuck

And Bob shares a birthday with other inspirational figures like Yul Brenner, John Quincy Adams, and Robert Bruce.

In the hearts of others, you rock on, Bob.

He has been in my heart ever since i met him and his darling wife in Nashville in 2004.

He was the kind of person you never forget if you had met him

Grateful birthday wishes to Bob.

Truly remembered with Judy from Nashville.  Adhering long in conversation all Friday afternoon, finding each other early Saturday morning and companied together waiting for the meeting room to open.  Braving an unlocked door, centrally seating ourselves for hours as three until the coming gathering.  He was fixing with conversation, complimentary with Judy, engaging enjoyment.

We didn't share a table dining later, being my first convention I had to go through a hazing that was invitingly presented as a dutiful sacrifice and higher calling, sitting next to Barb, the seat known as untouchable.  She offered accommodation.  Me, unknowingly... I don't remember else.  Very, very lucky that much time with Bob and Judy came before.

I liked Kip, he was one of the first people to work with me when I found this place in 1999. I even rigged up a copy of his O2 chilling idea.

RIP
