Title: The bottle tree (pic of course)

When I was in Natchez last week, I spent a good deal of time riding/walking around town.  Sometimes you see some strange and wondrous sights and this was one of them (it's much prettier than the *hubcap* tree I saw several years ago).

The following pics are of Longwood Plantation.  The total footage on the house is 30,000 square feet, unfortunately, the war interrupted the completion of the house.  The only livable section is the subterreanean floor (and you couldn't take pics there) which encompasses 10,000 square feet.  The house would have actually had 4 floors for living space and then the top floor was to be used as a gallery, with windows all the way around.

I love seeing the old homes.  Such a shame the one was never finished.

Beautiful pictures, Carolyn......thank you.

Very nice!  Good pics of the bottle tree.  Glad it's in his yard instead of mine though. LOL
