Title: I need to complain about CH Post by Sophia on Jul 31st, 2009 at 1:55am
I had a great day yesterday and went to the doc for refills on medications and did a little shopping. Later I met a friend for coffee and girl talk. Last night I was up with a Trigeminal Neuralgia attack that would not let up and triggered 4 Cluster headaches and then I got hit with another migraine! Today it simply hurts to walk. The simple movement of walking is enough to set it all off again and DH woke me up after about 3˝ hours of sleep to ´check on me´. I wanted to withhold coffee from him! GRRR!!! Today if I had a wheelchair I would be in it because it is less jarring to the head than putting feet gently down on the floor. I am at a kip 7 and beginning to think of jumping headfirst off the roof but dont want to climb up there so I think I will just go back to bed and scream. It hurts too bad to pace and the migraine is making me sick. Gee whiz why were headacches invented and for petes sake why did I get 4 diagnosis of the buggers? I wonder who I made mad. My ignorant family says it is Gods will and Karma. I think they need a CH attack. Evil Grin. Hopeing you all have a better day than mine!!!

Sometimes you NEED to complain, but save some for later. And please don't blame your family because they don't understand, afterall we still go to these doctors who don't understand, and we pay them! ;) I am trying not to take it personal and maybe you shouldn't either, just know that you are not alone. Tell your family to suck a fart and be done with them. What a steaming pantload of crap. Also, to wish a CH on them makes you no better than them. Don't go there. You are stronger and better informed than they are. |

;D Thanks for the giggle Brew and I second that motion! Hang in there Sophia and rant to your hearts content, I've found it's a great release for the tension from dealing with CH and the know it all's that it can bring out in non sufferers ::) |

If someone ever dared to tell me that something was Karma.... any of the pain I go through... I would most likely hit them.
Headaches are 'God's will'? I personally think that God has better things to do than inflict cluster headaches on people. And Karma...so if they see a 5 year old with cancer, is that Karma too? All of the pain that they're suffering? This is somehow KARMA come to bite them in the ass? Srsly. The stupidity of this hurts my brain. I'd tell them they're full of shit, and to get their heads out of their asses. The reality is: SHIT HAPPENS. Our bodies do shit that is godawful. There's NO reason for anyone to just assume " This must be punishment for something I/someone has done." Bodies malfunction. That doesn't mean you deserve for it to happen. |

Why not just try to inform your family like we often times have to inform our doctor instead of wishing them harm or ill will. Some of us have caring families even if they don't really understand what is happening with us and the severe pain that we are going through. I wouldn't wish this thing on an enemy lots less my family and any ways what good does it do when we still have to go through this pain. Please know that I am not belittling your pain because I feel it, but being mad at the world doesn't help anything, been there done that!! Here's wishing you pain free days and some extra strengh, because we all need it. I don't know much about KARMA, but I know about God and I KNOW that He is concerned about us and this head condition that we suffer from. Sophia, please don't be angry with me for my opinion because it is just that my opinion. :-*

Brew I have followed your advice. My family has been told that if they cant say anything nice or productive then go away. And I think I will still wish that all headaches and pains be used to create world peace. I think that is a better use for them than punishing my ignorant family! My headaches are too good for them anyway! Giggle. ;D
Jobette, you are sweet and I wish I could do as you advised but my family is just plain mean and I need space from them. They keep telling me I am not this sick and do not have these limits and I am tired of them. Maybe someday I will evolve enough to stop being so angry with them but that is not today and tomorrow isnt looking too great either. :o Mystina and the rest of you are just sweeties!!! Thank you for letting me rant and not going shame one you Sophia. It sure is nice to have a place to do this. Hugs to all! :) |
