Title: Question for Chronics Post by BarbaraD on Aug 1st, 2009 at 5:37pm
I just talked to Chuck and we have a question. Are any of you other chronics getting hit harder than usual right now. He and I are getting hammered really worse than usual since we got home from convention and just wondered if it's just us or if there's something going around right now.
The weather around here has been awful (always a trigger for me) but this is unusual even for me to get hit this often and as hard as I'm being hit right now. Anyhow we waz just a wondering if it's just us or if others were in the same boat as we are.... Hugs BD :-* |

I am wondering if my severe time has to do with the fact that I had to put up with grief and aggravation from a certain unnamed cantankerous old Tex-ass broad?
Hmmmm .... BUT, the question still remains ... Is anyone else getting nailed as bad and as often as Barb and I are? We are REALLY getting hammered ... Worn out Chuck |

I did for the first three days since getting home. Blamed it on the relaxation and the let down from all that went on at convention. REALLY had a good time there, and practically no hits.
Went to the Dr on Mon and got Oxygen. Hardly been hit at all since then other than a couple of times at work and twice while going to work. Jerry |

I'm having a relatively easy couple of weeks. I've probably averaged only 3 a week. My schedule is always erratic and unpredictable. Now that I've publicly stated that I'm having a light period, the enemy will probably whack me a good one!

Not too bad here... I've only been averaging about 7 hits in a 24 hour period since I've been home.
hijack> (on a side note...and call me a silly twit if you must, (shut up Chuck) But I decided today to do a little experiment. Somebody gave me a pair of wrap around sunglasses, the type they give to patients after eye surgery. Well I decided this morning to wear them while indoors as well as outdoors. I wanted to see if the would have any effect on the frequency of my attacks... that's all... end hijack> Tony |

Brew ended a"mild" cycle before the convention and now he's getting hit again (he's been Chronic in the past so I thought that might qualify). He had his first alcohol in a LONG time at the convention and that's always been a trigger - but it tends to be more immediate for him rather than a week later . . . .
Best of luck to all who are getting slammed. This beast just sucks! |

I'm episodic so I dont know if this will contribute to any insight but I just went into cycle after a 6 year remission. Cant explain it........can only treat it.

Nope. On a "low" if anything.
Of course, I've started a new company, I'm broke and stressed to the max and never relax. That's been a good formula for low cycles over the last 13+ years. Marc |

Successfully off verap since April, maintenance of 30 RC every five days or so since May hasn't changed. If late or overdue with that regimen, the familiar tango partner bounds up persistently in step. Footloose guild. |
Title: Re: Question for Chronics Post by Charlotte on Aug 2nd, 2009 at 1:02am
yes. Starting to get a little lower for me. And the good news for me, is the botox the neuro tried made the high cycle more bearable, although nowhere near as good as during low cycle - still pretty good for me.
The only time I banged my head on my desk, there was a thunderhead right over our building - so weather gets me, also. Charlotte |

Have to agree, relaxing is a sure trigger for me. "Stay stressed", it's how I roll. :)
