Title: Cluster Busting question Post by Nelis on Aug 2nd, 2009 at 7:09pm
Hi,
I'm new here on this board, just tried to introduce myself on the other section but my text got lost. >:( I'll do this later again, anyway most of you will recognise my story. I get hit 4 to 5 times a day (mostly at night) and have the O2 that saves me. I'm free of meds at the moment because I'm making a serious attempt at Clusterbusting. It has not done the trick for me yet. This cycle started in november and is still at full pace. Since a few weeks I have tried "Philosphers Stones" (or truffles) and found some short term relief. First I dosed 8 grams of fresh truffles. Very little relief. Second time, 5 days later, 10 grams; little relief, Third time, 3 days later, 15 grams, relief for 24 hours, i.e. no headaches! I am determined to go this way for a few more tries if needed. I cant find enough information on Clusterbusters.com about dosing in series. I would like to know if someone has an opinion on a dosing strategy: Should I increase the dosage next time when repeating or take the same dosage next time? Does anyone have experience with busting out of a long cycle? How is it done? Thanks Nelis |

cubensis 3 to 4 doses. one dose a week. 2 grams dry. use the tea recipie on clusterbusters.com
Detox is very important. Using them in conjunction with RC seeds is not out of the question either. The only thing I have found that stopped the whole episode. all the best the bb |

Hey BB,
Are you saying the RC seeds stop your cycle complete.. because mt time is coming and im really hoping they work. In Oct it will be mega cycle time. Coach Bill |

If you haven't started your cycle, coach, a preventative dose of seeds might just keep it from starting. Then hit it again should you feel like a cycle is trying to start. It's much easier to prevent a cycle than bust one. |

Thanks BB,
I guess I'm dosing a little low and maybe time a little to fast. You may understand I'm in sort of a hurry. These truffles (better; sclerotia) are comparable to fresh mushrooms, so when you consider a weight reduction of 90% from fresh to dried shrooms that would be 20 grams of fresh shrooms/truffles. This will be my next go. Greetings Nelis |

YA coach bill......My cycle started two months early this year! I don't know why. But you may want to start before it does. Don't wait too long .................................................lorac |

Allright, last friday I dosed 20 grams of fresh 'truffles'. It was a nice experience. I had relief for 2 days, no headaches! Now they are slowly coming back again. Next Wednesday or Thursday (5 days later) I will dose again in my effort to bust this cluster.
I'll keep you posted. Nelis |

Keep us posted, I'm pulling for you. And no, seeds alone have never aborted the whole episode, you need mushrooms for that. :D
the bb Take a maintenance dose Bill, either shrooms or seeds. ;) |

Seeds worked to reduce the severity of hits and the cycle but never to preempt a cycle.
Strangely enough made the hits real slow to develope. Instead of 0-60 in seconds it takes 15-20 minutes to get up to speed if allowed. Used to be right side but since the seeds, I get all the signals on the right but get hit on the left. Wierd!! Have had success aborting hits with seeds. Usually have two or three doses soaking and ready in the fridge. If I catch it in time hit will evaporate. Tastes like dirt but it works. Hi Nani [smiley=curtain.gif] |

i have about 5 years between cycles. i still get shadows and once a month get a bad migraine. mushrooms seem to help with that. out of cycle i don't do anything special out of cycle. i don't any kind of meds so i don't have that to worry about

Hi friends!
Here an update on my Clusterbusting quest. To put it short, it seems like its working for me! This cluster started in November last year and slowly builded up from 1 attack per day/night to 4 to 5 every day/night since February/March this year. I used Immigran for the bigger ones but experienced that while aborting 1 attack 3 others would follow, so on the long run it didn't help me. I took Depakine a few months and noticed that the intensity of the pain would diminish a little, together with the rest of my person. So I decided to try the Clusterbusting way. At first my effort was not really following a plan. I took some 'truffles' and see what happens. From there on I understood I needed a plan to be able to draw some valid conclusions from this experiment. The plan is not fully completed yet but the progression is worth mentioning! Last Friday I took 2 grams of shrooms, since then I had only 1 attack per day/night. Yesterday (Wednesday) I took another 2 grams of shrooms and have been PF for 48 hours now. I really have the feeling that I have serious progression in my situation thanks to these funny shrooms. Next week I will dose again and hope it's the last one in this series. I'll keep you posted. For now I'm going to have a good night sleep! :) Good night! Nelis |
