I guess by now, most of you have read of my frustration and problems with BC/BS insurance and my oxygen.  I called my company and asked HR who I should call to get this resolved.  They gave me the phone number to the broker that my company buys their insurance through.  They gave me the man's name, whose office I would be calling, and the person to ask for.

So, I called.  The man, whose office I was calling, answered the phone. I gave him the name of the person I was suppose to ask for, and he said he would be right there.  In the mean time, is there anyway that he could help?

I started my story by first explaining that I suffered from a fairly rare condition, called cluster headaches.  I was about to go into my "instructor" mode, and let him know what they are.  He stopped me and said, that he knew what they were (Yah, RIGHT, I was saying to myself) because he had them too!

That made me stop for a minute, but then again, I have heard that before from people that have no idea what they really are.  So, I didn't get too excited.  In further talking, I found out this guy DOES know what they are and what they feel like!  He also suffers from migraines, but he DOES know the pain of clusters!

How AWESOME is that, to get a fellow sufferer to help advocate to the insurance company?  Not only that, he is IN THE BUSINESS of dealing with insurance companies!

We had a great talk, and I turned him on to this site, and about oxygen (which he was clueless about) and basically talked about what I/we have to do in order to get the insurance company back on track.

Talk about GREAT luck!  I left the conversation feeling that I might actually get some where with this, in relatively short order!

I sure hope he signs on and joins or demented family!

Insurance companies don't give a DAMN about the "members"...they ONLY care about their customer....which, believe it or not, AINT you... "member"... it's the BROKER (the actual BUYER of coverage)...and boy do THEY have motivation to help you. You or your company aint happy...well, then, MAYBE you'll take your business elsewhere....

Get THOSE bulldogs on your side...and, oh my, you got somethin'...
